Do you think Tiger is sick or just a cad?

Actually, I think someone like Paris Hilton enjoys a measure of insulation from the effects of tabloid journalism because she's essentially made it such that she cares less about privacy than normal people do. Beyond that, for every dollar that someone would get paid for dirt on Paris Hilton, just imagine how much someone would get paid for dirt on someone in the public eye for whom the public does not expect to see dirt on.

I really dont care. Its his life and what he chooses to do with it has nothing to do with me. He's still going to be a good golfer in the long run. Too bad I dont like or watch golf.

Maybe I am not up on my gossip, but until Tiger crashed his car...he didn't come up on my radar as a celebrity who lived very publicly.

As far as his crash--it was just so wacky in what occurred and how it was handled, that it did lend itself to some "investigation". The puzzle pieces just do not fit together.

But in the end, I don't feel it is the job of tabloids to play detective and go snooping and spying just for the sake of doing so.

That's probably true. But if a celebrity isn't in the public eye as frequently, then there's nothing to criticize. I do agree though, that when a celebrity who isn't regulary in the public eye is attached to some scandal then it sky rockets from there. Especially if there's a certain squeaky clean image. Good grief, we've seen that time and again in the tabloids. Still, I just wonder how those tabloid journalists/photographers sleep at night knowing that what they're doing is helping to further fan the flames of scandal. Sure Tiger is an idiot but is it fair that his family is going to have to hear all the details of his mistresses because they chose to sell their story to a trashy tabloid? Or deal with all the magazine covers alledging numerous affairs? Yes, ultimately it is Tiger's fault for behaving like a moron but does it follow that now the tabloid magazines have carte blanche? It's just so humiliating for the loved ones involved, you know? :sad2:

Tiger is a loser and lowlife!

A beautiful family at home and he screws around.

Did you hear the news about Tiger Woods having his name changed?

Yeah he had it changed to Cheeter Woods!!!

.

I believe the joke is "Cheetah Woods".:lmao:

Sorry bicker, but someone who makes millions of $$$ off his public persona does not get to say "I'm sorry and I want privacy". He has chosen to be a public figure, a celebrity...with the good (lots of $$) comes the bad (loss of privacy). Clearly he wasn't worried about privacy when he was scoring chicks or he would have been able to figure out that someday his privacy would be gone....the day has arrived.

I have to agree. He made a LOT of money off his clean cut persona. It's hard for me to believe that anybody would be stupid enough to think that one of these girls wouldn't come back to haunt him. Why would he even begin to think that these were loyal, dependable people (and why should they be to him)? :confused3 Like the one he left the voice message for telling her he needed a "big favor". Yeah, she did him a big favor all right (shared the message all over the national media). :rolleyes1

This kind of garbage has been going on forever, even before tabloids.

I am sure Shakespeare built his tragedies out of gossip of the royal courts. People sung and played out the rumors of the day in the past.

Our instant media is a reflection of our present history and not humanity imo.

He's a man, a man who has the ability and the power to do with this libido whatever he can. Imagine a kid in a candy store with an unlimited income.

He's not new, special or unique. He just got caught.

what she said :)

I don't really care "why" he cheated on his wife. addiction, arrogance, whatever... What matters from here on out is how he handles it and so far, I'm NOT impressed.

Sick or a Cad?

Cad I think. He is just a very rich Jock and there are plenty of available Bimbos.

Honestly, the way he's been acting with the media/public has been pretty disgraceful IMO.
I have no idea why he did what he did, but what I do know is that he has hurt so many people from his wife (especially), children (even though they're young they will be able to read about this in 10yrs or so...), friends, golf community, and those who looked up to him.
It's going to be a loooong and hard road he has to face.

The truth is, I don't even care "that" he cheated on his wife.

Regarding the bolded bit, to what are you referring?

Cad, the word 'sleazebag' also comes to mind. :sad2:

Actually I think it's a conspiracy set up by Jack Nicklaus to keep Tiger from beating his records.
A few well placed bimbo's here, a fire hydrant there, one or two trees.......easy sailing

huh? None of this affects Woods' ability to participate in the tour.

90% of the game is half mental.

hehe... and beyond that, what is being suggested? That folks are going to deliberately go to the matches and heckle him so he never wins again? :)

Sick? don't most guys dream of being a rock star or famous athlete for two main reasons......$$$$, and having women throwing themselves at them by the hundreds?

Having the chance, who knows how many men would act the same way.

One thing I don't get. Why those who want that kind of life get married?
