We still have plenty of time and this might change but how does this plan sound (I'm doing it so early (1) because of my being obsessive and (2) because there is a special event taking control of one of the parks one night we'll be there and i need to plan around it to make sure everything gets done/is perfect).

Day 1 (this is the easiest):
Animal Kingdom (Evening Extra Magic Hours)
Luau

Day 2:
Magic Kingdom (Morning EMH):

Indy Speedway
Grab FP for Space Mountain

Space Mountain
Grab another FP for Space Mountain
AstroOrbiter
Teacups
Mickey’s Philharmagic
Peter Pan
Space Mountain
Lunch at a CS and leave for MGM-DS
MGM-DS
Indy Jones
Ariel
Muppet 3-D
Hollywood Ride
Parade
Lights, Motors, Action
CS for Dinner
Wait in line for FANTASMIC (the dinner packages don't appeal to me)
Maybe Pleasure Island?

Day 3:
Epcot (Evening EMH)
FastPass for Soarin’
Test Track
Mission: Space

Enjoy EMH

Day 4:

Big Thunder Mountain
Splash Mountain (Scott)
Anything we want/character hunting
SpectroMagic/Dinner at a stand/Wishes

Day 6:
Whatever we want (we got 6 day PH tickets in case there was something else we wanted since they were only 2 dollars more than 5 day)
Early dinner (4:20 at 50s Prime-Time)
PopCentury/DME at 5:30 for 8:30 flight

lots of park hopping there huh? Do you have small kids, will you need a break here and there, i dont really see any.

Are you using disney busses as transportation? The last day that you have ADR's for 50's prime time at 4:20, with a flight home at 8:30. Disney express takes you to the airport 3 hours early if im not mistaken, and if the airport is like im betting you will need almost that much time to get thru security and get your bag checked in etc. Most likely you would need to be at your resort ready to leave by no later than 5pm. It can take quite a while to get back to POP from MGM anyway...so i dont think thats doable. If it were me i'd either have a morning at your favorite park and a CS either at that park or your hotel, but plan on being back there no later than 30 minutes before the time they tell you they will be leaving for the airport.

Other than that, i'll leave the rest up to more seasoned Mousekateers:)

I agree...you may want to see if you can get lunch ressies for your last day...that way you can be back to your room and ready to go on time.

Better to under plan than over plan to have an enjoyable vacation.
Highlight your Must Dos, and prioritize them. After your Must Dos, then the rest is gravy. :thumbsup2

remember most of the rides you want to ride will have about a hour wait. Even a fast pass may put you you at a ride time of afternoon. You are going at the start of the free dining so I think it will be quite busy. I get tired just reading your itenerary, don't be disapointed if you don't get to do as much as you want.

This is a very ambitious plan. Not that it's impossible. But being a little too . . .anal retentive. . .about a schedule can be dangerous if your plan gets thrown out of sorts. Your second morning looks particularly hectic.

Just tone it down a bit, and go with the flow.

Also, the Matterhorn is at DisneyLand in Ca, not at WDW (you've got it in EPCOT).

*it's also been my experience that evening EMH at EPCOT stink. Not much open, and still pretty crowded.

No kids - just two 20somethings. To me, a break is the transfer between parks (on the days we're doing it) and Epcot, walking around the "world" is relaxed. It's a good point about ME...I was hoping to eat and be done by 5/5:20, getting back to Pop around 5:30 or so...we'll see how that works.

For days 2 and 4, we're really banking on the EMH to do things with long waits...otherwise, we'll gladly wait. Day 5, I'm counting and hoping for long lines after Chef Mickey's, to ease the food (No point in eating well and then riding space mountain!). I've made similar plans (maybe not as fast pace, but honestly i didn't work it out as fine-tuned as this) work in the past, going over spring break instead of labor day - i'm thinking the crowds will be similar.

Oops...I didn't mean Mattahorn, I meant the Norway ride. Anyone remember the name for me? Anyone? But yea, good point. I do really want to ride the Mattahorn as I've never been there.

Yea, I'm not counting on much for EMH at Epcot - maybe a second go at Soarin' and TT as the DGF has never been on TT. I wasn't impressed with M:S, so I'll let that one go.

EMH (early) are very busy. I thought on my last trip and was surprised how busy it was.

It WON'T work. For starters, an ADR means you get seated at the next available table for your size party after you check in.
Even assuming you get seated AT 4:20 and know exactly what you want to eat, you still need to order it; the kitchen needs to prep it; your server needs to serve it; you need to eat it; and even though dining is free, you're still presented with a check and your credits need to be applied.
Then you need to get from the restaurant to the bus stop, and wait for the bus, and ride the bus back to Pop.
Guests are 'strongly advised' to be waiting for the DME bus fifteen minutes in advance of departure.
This means you have to sit, order, eat, "pay", and get back to Pop Century in about 55 minutes total. Even under perfect conditions, that's highly unlikely. If you miss your assigned DME bus, I'm not even sure Disney can accommodate you - but if they can, they do NOT promise to get you to the airport in time to do everything you need to do and still make your flight.

Change your ADR to lunch, be FINISHED by 4:30 and (barring catastrophe) you'll have no problem making your assigned DME bus.

I did EMH last in 2003 - has anyone done it in 2003 or before and now and seen a marked difference? It was fairly crowded then, but not overwhelmingly so. I'm also (and by proxy, DGF) an early riser/get to the park by 7:30 on EMH person.

Peter Pan

I did it last year. I did both early and evening. Early was very busy but evening died down after the first hour. I hope for you it's different.

Oops sorry about that - anyway I have found that when you are in Fantasyland first thing you need to do all that - especially Peter Pan and Mickey's Philarmagic - going back to them after Space does not seem like a good plan to me. I find that I commit to the Fantasyland hour in MK on an early entry and can wipe that out in good time with someone else running over and grabbing a fast pass for Space (or Buzz) at some time.

I don't think you will get all of that accomplished in the morning if you don't fully take advantage of everything in Fantasyland before the crowds build.

Good plan...we're fairly indifferent to Peter Pan/Pooh - but must do Philharmagic. I figured it worked similar to the old Lion King show which I never had (too much) trouble getting into - unless they had just started a show. I've not seen Philharmagic, so I'm not sure what to expect. We definitely plan to take care of Fantasyland Must Dos before leaving to go to Tomorrowland.

Unless things have changed in the last year, if you stay for EMH, you'll get only one of the two rides you are looking forward to in. Last time, the line for Soarin' never went down and TT was insane too. Like I said, there just isn't much open at EPCOT for EMH, so the big three get insane. It may have changed though. We didn't even attempt it last week when we were there because we remember the fiasco we had the year before. Evening EMH at MK seem to be a lot better.

You can do AK in half a day IMHO, so use part of that day for another park as well.
