Do You Think They would allow this????

Hi,
We're leaving on Sunday!! and are on DxDP. DS is a picky eater an is limited on what he likes to eat. Hot dogs ae on of his favorites and they are on the childrens menu in some of the places we're going...however, DS likes the hot dog - no bun no nothing...no fries, no soup or salad or carrot sticks for appetizer just plain hot dog and ice cream for dessert.

Do you think if I asked the CM when we order his meal if I could have just 2 plain hot dogs (instead of one) and no appetizer that they would do that with no extra charge?...we're already paying enough for DxDP...and don't want to wast the food DS won't eat, but he will eat 2 hot dogs...I think it may be up to how acocmodating the CM feels...not sure...Thanks

Honestly it's really up to your CM and how they're feeling that moment. I've gone on the DxDDP for 3 trips now. I have to say they do seem more flexible when your on the DxDDP rather than the DDP. (This is my personal experience anyway). Some CM's will make exceptions and subsitute things others will just straight out say NO. Good Luck!

I'm thinking they won't let you do this because essentially it is swapping an appetizer for an extra entree. The kids' app choices are usually so basic (like you say a few carrot sticks or the like) that a hot dog is likely a bigger ticket item for them. Can't hurt to ask though.

I don't see why they wouldn't let you do this...a hot dog costs them pennies so I don't see why not

I would bet that it's possible they will not allow you to have two hot dogs for one credit, no matter what the cost is. it's going to entirely depend on who you ask and where.

I'm also assuming you are talking about TS restaurants, because CS meals don't include appetizers.

Thanks..yes I'm talking about TS meals...I check the menus before I make ADRS to make sure there's something on it for DS...I'm thinking in particular about 50's Primetime and Kona....Basically all I want for DS is 2 hot dogs a soda and dessert (no appetizer, no buns, no fries)...I'm thinking the exclsuion of the appetizer and fries will make up for the 2 hot dogs...I don't like to waste food and usually 1 hot dog is not enough for DS and again I prefer not to pay for an extra hot dog...

I'm not worried about CS as with all the food on DxDP DS can have his hot dog from his hot dog meal and mine from my meal - he can eat the 2 hot dogs and I can munch on the fries or grapes or whatever and share with DH from his meal...

And though it may sound odd - especially since we're on DXDP - I bring food from home for DS....but if he has it his way, all he'll be eating is Mickey Ice Cream bars as that was his favorite last year...He's thrilled about Mickey's BBQ as they have freezers full of Mickey Bars (plus other ice cream novelties).

Since the only thing he eats is hotdogs, have you considered not going with the dining plan at all? it would be a waste to pay for him to be on the delux DP if all he will eat is hot dogs. Just a suggestion. Might be cheaper for you?
