Do you think there's a good chance it will be extended again?

We had been planning on a Feb 2011 trip but that has fell thru unfortunately. But we are trying to plan a trip near the end of 2011 instead.

So, since there are Free Dining offers thru Dec. 2010 & they extended Free Dining offers thru Sept. 29, 2011, do you think there's a good chance it could also be offered for Nov./Dec. 2011?

I hope so. We're thinking of doing a Dec. 201 trip & that would help out a ton!

I, too, am hoping for Nov. 11 free dining. It's the only way we can go. When do they usually list the extended dates?

No idea. They may not announce it. Theu announced the extenstion from now until the end of Sept about 1-2 months ago, I think, maybe around the beginning of Aug. They may not extend that one, but based on the dates of 2010-2011, I'm cautiously hopeful it would at least be released by the middle of summer, 2011....

I hope!! This would be a huge deal for us.

Sept. 30 is the end of Disney's fiscal year. If any later 2011 discounts are forthcoming, they probably won't be announced until at least the summer season when they get a handle on how the current fiscal year is doing and how advance bookings look.

I would expect them to match whatever offers they had this year for 2011. Maybe some better ones. With the economy in the tank and no relief in sight WDW is dependent on the special offers.

I hope so. We're thinking of doing a Dec. 201 trip & that would help out a ton!

I doubt it, but it is always possible. That time of year is getting busier and busier each year and at some point the deep discounts are going to go away.

I tend to agree with the thinking they will be pretty close to matching 2011 offers to 2010 offers. ey pretty much did that with 2009 & 2010. ThOffers, discounts, pins, etc. may not be announced until summer 2011 for late 2011 but I'm actually feeling pretty confident in this thinking. I honestly think the reason this time of year is getting busier is because of the deep discounts they are offering. I don't see our economy getting that much better within the year, so I feel that Disney counts on these offers to get their rooms filled. The discounts seem to coincide with the least busy times & normal busy times are blacked out. I don't see the offers going down too much in the near future.

I'm going to plan on Disney in Dec. 2011 without the Free Dining Offer for now, but I do think it will be offered. I am going to pick dates that line up with when FD was offered for Dec. 2009 & 2010. This is the 2nd Dec. to have Free Dining offered. Hopefully, we'll get a 3rd!

I think they will have to. They already bumped up the room rates a good amount. This year early to mid-December is value season. Next year it goes up to regular season rates.

I booked back in Feburary hoping for FD to be released for November 2010. Everyone was very skeptical and kept posting that WDW was going to stop all the great discounts. They did quite the opposite and released several great deals for the fall. I know it will be the same for you next fall. Don't give up there is a great deal waiting for you!!!

I think Disney was hoping you wouldn't notice.

Even if they DO announce the same deals, you'll already be paying more. So yes, I think the "deals" will definitely be there.

The only thing that's going to stop Disney from offering some "deals" is a stampede of guests into the resorts without the deals. Without a huge rebound in the economy, I don't see that happening.

Besides, many folks are choosing already to book earlier in the year because the deals are already out there. They're going to have to do something to nudge people to book those fall/winter dates.
