Do you think my ADR's will allow one extra person?

Hi,

So we are going to Disney next week, and I have spent months planning everything. My brother (who is coming on the trip) just called to tell me that my cousin is also planning to come. Needless to say, this really messes up all of my ADR's. I am not willing to give them up, and if need be, my cousin will have to just eat somewhere else a few nights, but I was wondering what would happen if we asked to seat one more person. Has anyone tried this? Ugh, so annoying!!!

I was in this situation last year when I planned a trip with my Mom and my sister decided to come along. I decided just to keep my existing ADRs and hope for the best when I checked us in to each restaurant. Each and every restaurant was absolutely fine with it, and we did not wait more than a few minutes at any place to be seated on Memorial Day weekend. In fact, Chefs de France even seated us one hour prior to our ADR time because I explained to the host that my Mom was getting tired, no problem at all.

It may not work every time it's tried. If the restaurant is full to capacity for fire codes when you arrive, they won't let you in with an extra person.

Thank you all so much! I was getting really upset about all of this, but it's good to hear that we probably won't have a problem. I guess we'll try it and see what happens. My main concern is our reservations at Whispering Canyon and BIergarten. Fingers crossed!!!

We went christmas time last year. My father decided a few weeks out he was coming. I was able to get him in everywhere. CRT Le cellier Ohana chef mickeys crystal palace mama melrose for the fantasmoc package. not one host made it an issue. We didnt even have to wait any longer for a bigger table. This even made up a party of 6 to a party of 7 and no one gave us grief. Good luck I hope it works out for you!!!

Biergarten would worry me.:guilty: They seat you with other people, at a table that holds 8. You don't eat alone, you eat with other guests. And they seat you all at the same time. The best thing to do is to try and change your ADR before you go to WDW. Hopefully if you show up with an extra guest, they will seat you. But there are no guarantees.

If it's an odd numbered party reservation to begin with, it shouldn't be a problem at all. Tables are generally designed for an even number of guests. If you book a reservation for 5, you're assigned a table for 6.

I was just wondering the same thing. I have the perferct reservations and leave in 10 days, we are adding my husband on tonight. Making a party of 4 a party of 5 which includes a 1 year old.

This is us, too!! Exept that we leave in 5 days and my sister is joining us last minute.

I just called and tried to make my ADRs from 4 to 5 people.. she was able to make half of them go to 5 people (including Akershus, MM F! package, and Crystal palace), but not the rest. So, it's worth a try.. just call and ask them to upgrade your reservations. For the rest of my reservations, we will just go as a group of 5 and hope for the best.

I called and got some changed but not the 1900 park fare which I really wanted. She told me to just show up with the extra person, it's an ealry dinner so she thinks it will be fine. :confused3
