Do you think it's worth buying a Hopper for 1 EMH night?

I really want to do the evening EMH at MK during our trip, but would need to upgrade to a Hopper to do so unless I rearranged our entire itinerary. We never done the EMH and, since it's basically our first onsite trip, I'd like to experience it. I seriously doubt there would be any other hopping involved during the trip...Do you think it would be worth it?

I enjoy the option to continue at another park after another park closes.

It's a harder sell for just 1 hop. (Unless you already have water parks)

How about you get the Park Hopper and use it more than once. The freedom to come and go as you like opens up ADR possibilities and late nights, early mornings. I will always add the hopper and never complain about it.

Welllll, depending on the length of your ticket, the hopper option runs around $60+. Basically you're paying that per person for 2 late hours in the park. For my family of 5, that would be too much for me. If you're high energy folks, though, you could consider hopping often (I.e. Always ending in the park with latest hours, no matter where you spent the day, for example). We are not usually hoppers - kids have been too young for late nights and it seemed inefficient. We bought them once and realized we only hopped for dinner and Illuminations once - that was a rather hefty fee for a free fireworks show and we regretted it.

I always recommend not buying it until your at the park and need it. If you need it, same price to add it. If you don't feel like doing it after a day at another park, then you just saved some money and lowered the cost of your trip. It's easier to decide in the moment and takes a few minutes to get it. I also recommend getting it at the park your leaving since MKs ticket booths aren't where the buses drop you off and guest relations is a gamble with everyone else who needs it for the same reason.

I wouldn't recommend it at all. I would either rearrange my trip or not hop. It's honestly not always some haven of emptiness, especially in our more recent trips.

I would do it, because unless you're going when MK hours are drastically reduced it's fun to do other parks during the day and hop over to MK for even 30 minutes to an hour to finish your night. Do MK more than just the EMH!

Evening EMH hours at MK are really fun, and crowds are somewhat lower but don't expect it to be empty. I wouldn't upgrade for just one night, but park hoppers are great and we hop almost everyday. We like a change of scenery, and spend many evenings in WS after our midday pool breaks.

I wouldn't add a hopper for one EMH night. We usually get hoppers, but we use them more than once.

Look and see if you can use it for AM EMH also. I plan to take advantage of AM EMH, then hop to my planned park of the day. Then do the same for PM EMH. I enjoy the ability to hop--it is also nice for Food and Wine or the Flower and Garden so you can eat around the world at Epcot! Epcot also has some nice TS restaurants, so you can hop there for dinner. If you aren't going to hop more than once, probably not worth it.

It seems people are paying more than that for the After Hours nights!
That was what I was thinking. If they were not going again for a long time I would buy the hopper. If they go every year or two I wouldnt buy it.

For our family, it would not be worth it.

That saying, we are getting park hoppers because we scored a late night BOG dinner reservation on a different day then intended.
Some find this crazy because we are not only just hopping but spending more on food. For us? Totally worth it :cool2:
Lol so the value of the extra money spent can only truly be determined by you and your family :)

We are doing the hopper with plans to only hop two out of five days. I just like the flexibility a hopper gives, even if I'm unlikely to stray far from my plan. I'm not sure if I would have done it for only one day... but maybe. We are bringing a first-timer and also have the water park option on our ticket, so having both seemed like the best choice for this particular trip.
