Hi All:wave:

Do you think we're too late to book Premium Economy seats with Virgin? (we're going on 25th March this year) I hinted at DH to get them as a christmas prezzie but what with one thing and another he forgot and is now saying that we'll ask when we check in.

I don't know if it's such a good idea as it says in the Virgin brochure that you have to ask for them at the time of booking,I'm not expecting a free upgrade, i'm more than willing to pay the proper price:confused:

What do you think?

Thanx,
Audrey,

hello

Just looked on virgin holidays flydrive site
Still showing PE seats available for both flights
I would have thought this means you can still get your upgrade

:) Thanks Doubly Chris,

Must have a look at that site and see if we can still book;)

You got me thinking there Audrey, now we have paid of the Xmas credit card debts, PE is now an option for our trip on 8th February, so I just phoned Virgin Travelstore to enquire.

Unfortunately, although they are showing PE seats available for our flights, because our tickets have already been issued they cannot upgrade us. They say we will have to enquire when we get to Gatwick on the day.

So we'll just have to wait and see then.

Thanx Sue,
:(
Does that mean that you've got your tickets already then?, I havn't received mine yet:eek:

Let me know please Sue,

Ta again,

Hi Audrey, we booked with Virgin Travelstore on the 30th December and, although they said the tickets wouldn't arrive until 2 weeks before departure, we actually got them in the post about a week later which was a surprise.

We are off on the 8th February and I can't wait. I told DH about the possibility of upgrading to PE on the day and, typical, he now wants to see if we can get first class!!! Honestly, there's no pleasing some people!

Has anyone upgraded with Virgin to PE at the airport? If so, how much extra did they pay and how easy was it?

After being told by the desk at Gatwick by phone one day it would be £175 pp, they snooty madam told us it would be £375pp. Even when I tried to explain I called the day before she was having none of it.

Its easily done just stay away from the woman with the dark hair and cruel look in her eyes LOL

Hi ,

we upgraded at Manchester not at check in but at the Virgin information desk ( this saves queuing in economy if you are successfull ) We paid £312 per adult one way and the prices are more expensive than in brochure but a sweet Virgin supervisor worked her magic on the computer to get our two kids free so we got 6 for the price of 4 . it all depends on the flight capacity and the staff on the day. smile sweetly it worked for me !

Thanx for the info everyone,

Will definitley try and upgrade our seats, hmmmmm........ I wonder how much extra we'd be to go first class!
