Do you think it's safe to cancel an Epcot reservation? to try for a Studios reservation

So the Studios aren't available for any of my days so I wasn't able to book that park. For several of my days though Epcot is still available. If I cancelled one of my Epcot days and attempted to book the Studios, even though the Studios say they are NOT available, do you think I have any chance of getting it, and if not, do I have a good chance of immediately getting Epcot back? We are only two people, seven day hoppers, staying onsite.

You can try but it's at the risk of not getting your Epcot reservation back. If the calendar is showing Epcot availability it's at a lower risk for sure as hopefully you would be able to secure Epcot again.

That's risky. You may end up with no park. I don't know when you're going, but is there time to just 'stalk' the calendars to try to see HS availability? Do you have park hopper ability? You can start at EPCOT and then hop to HS, if that's helpful.

For one day? If you’re willing to refresh A LOT I say yes. I actually got lucky with studios! But a few days before you could keep looking for something else as well.

How did you get lucky? What did you do, exactly? I mean even if I were to see studio availability there’s no guarantee that in the seconds it takes to cancel Epcot and try to reserve Studios it would still be available. . I can hop there but then I have zero chance of Rise. It would be nice if they allowed the hopping people a chance to try for the 2:00 opportunity. It would also make it that the studios weren’t immediately booked so quickly.

Cancelled Epcot and just looked for studios constantly. I’m talking refreshing all day for like 2 days. It is a risk but you can’t look for a reservation if you don’t have an extra ticket day. I had 3 park days and 2 of them only Epcot was open. So I just didn’t book it one day and searched for studios. Had the tab open on my computer for 2 days and clicked it anytime I thought of it.
Not the best use of my time, but I ended with 2 out of my 3 days being studios (our favorite park even before Star Wars).

Did it ever SHOW Studio availability, or did you just keep trying the book the Studios even though it showed that park as full?

Safe? No. But...EPCOT typically has more park pass availability than other parks.

Never showed available. I read on here the calendar is not updated as much so I just always tried.
It’s so tough because it did work out for me but I know it’s a risk!

No. She just canceled the resort. I have no idea if she cancels and someone is trying to get one if they can pick it up immediately after. If someone wants to try to coordinate we can do that.

I did it you need to try constantly try even one person and go back and try to get the next person
