We are going Nov 14-20. Waiting on resale to go through. So it will be at 6/7 month mark from trip. I think that is where my 3 boys would LOVE to stay and see the animals!!!

I think you'll have a very good shot at getting it. AKV is a huge resort and often has availability on short notice. Good luck!

You should have no problems getting that booking. Standard view would be harder and value almost impossible. Have a fabulous trip and welcome home.

We absolutely LOVED kidani savannah view 2BR!!! You will have a great trip and be spoiled for life!!!:cheer2:

We were in your exact same predicament back in 2009, but we were able to snag a one bedroom at AKV at 5 months out for the same week that you are going. Also, Kidani had just opened for business that August so I was sure there would be no chance of staying there. So there's always hope! Here's some pixiedust:pixiedust: for you! Good luck!

Though savanna view is open now for that time, your issue is that a few of your days are during Thanskgiving week and thus there is a risk they could disappear before the 7 month window opens. To increase chances be sure to attempt to reserve exacly 7 months out.

Savanna view are about 80% of all rooms. However, contrary to what is noted above, when rooms get filled, the savanna views are usually filled before standard view despite that standard views are only about 13% of the rooms and are lower points. It is value rooms that tend to go first and the value category rather than standard is what attracts those looking for a point bargain at AKV. As to standard, AKV differs in the patterns at BWV and BLT where resort location is what drives the demand for lower point standard view. At AKV, it is savanna view and not resort location that is the most important factor for most members.

I think it depends on the view you want. I would also remain open to booking two studios or 1 1BR and a studio if necessary.

I would still stay there in any 2 bedroom available. You can see the savannah in other ways.:thumbsup2

We were able to get Kidani 2 br. villa, savannah view second week, last yr. And it was fantastic!! We did ask at check in if we could stay on lobby floor ( which is 2nd floor), and it was granted. The best floor to be on in my opinion, or 3rd would be the highest that I would like to stay. My kids loved this resort, taking 1st place to Beach Club. I am trying at 7 month mark again too.!!

Good Luck!!
