Do you think I could get a good discount/free dining first week off September?

My best friend and I are graduating high school this year and we will both be 18 by then so we wanted to take a celebratory trip to our favorite place.

We would probably want to stay at a monorail resort (I know she's interested in Grand Floridian and I'm interested in Poly...if anyone wants to weigh in on the different monorail resorts please do it would be a first for us).

Do you think we can get some sort of room discount/free dining this week? This week should be perfect timing wise between college, park occupancy, and MNSSHP.

Usually with a Deluxe resort, esp. with just 2 of you you do better with a room discount. With free dining you pay rack rate so the Values work out to be a better deal. The moderates can go either way but most likely FD will come out ahead esp if you will eat a TS each day anyway. Most likely there will be an offer-usually is. Good luck. Basically you are picking the 2 most expensive resorts at WDW. I would price the trip without discounts - room only will tell the FD price. Most likely 40 % off will be the room only discount.

Alright thanks! :goodvibes

We figure since there's just the two of us and we will have graduation money/job money we should treat ourselves to a great resort experience! :cloud9: I like the idea of using the room discount too. You're right that the dining would only save us more money if we had the whole family with us...
