Do you think I can get away with this?

Last night I asked what everyone wanted for dinner tonite, (my mistake). My DSS said fried chicken, now he is as quiet as quiet can be. He never utters a word, so I said okay. I'm cheating, I went to Shop-Rite picked up the already made fried chicken, put it in a large pan and have it ready for dinner. I just have to heat it up and make some side dishes.

Do I fess up or do I pass it off as mine? ;)

Why say anything at all? If it comes up, I wouldn't lie. JMO.

Just serve it and don't say anything unless asked. He said he wanted fried chicken. He didn't say you have to make it.

I do that all the time.

I'm not much of a cook.

If it came out of your oven, it's yours!:jester:

You say "thank you" when he says he likes it etc. Or I bought it if he doesn't like it!...right?

I'll go even further, delswife, if it even came NEAR my kitchen it's mine. My family is SO used to the "I provided it (cooked or bought) now you eat it. Otherwise next time its your turn to do dinner." Works everytime ::yes:: :teeth:

Of course!!! Otherwise no bachelor/husband would be able to participate in any function requiring food :)

My method is to purchase some nice dishes, remove the packaging, transfer the contents to the nice dish, place nice dish in stove to reheat and voila - I am Mrs. Smith. :sunny:

Just make sure you destroy the packaging ;)

If it's like the grocery store chicken around here, it's probably pretty good. In fact, I'm not confident anyone in our house would make better fried chicken. If you're guilty, make some nice home made mashed potatoes, biscuits, etc. Don't worry: What happens on the Dis, stays here;)

We had to eat early tonight, and I got away with it. Not a mention in the room. I did make sure the packaging was gone. They wanted to know why it was in the oven, I said to keep it warm :p .
