Do You Think Home Resort Owners Get Room Request Priority?

.....room assigners take into account how long a particular guest has been a DVC member.

We bought resale. Our card gives the date of the original contract, which is 1993!! This would be nice and we've always gotten every one of our requests, but I truly DOUBT it is true. I think that CMs sit around at break time laughing at what they've told us.

We are owners and used 350 points to book a 2br.

Asked for pool view-high floor, got 3rd floor-woods view.

Upon check-in at BCV this week we had all of our requests met plus we got a bonus 4th floor Epcot view. I feigned shock but the front desk CM laughed and said we should not be surprised. She said since BCV is a home resort of ours that the room assigner would have worked extra hard to meet our requests.

So, what do you all think? Is there some truth to that or is she just blowing smoke?

That CM is blowing some major smoke. If anyone thinks the room assigner looks at your home resort your crazy. Also they seem to be using a room ready system now. You just got lucky and checked in a the right time.

Now THERE'S some smoke!!! Unless someone definitively knows otherwise, there is no way I would believe that the resort's reservation system can track DVC contract start dates.

hmmm...don't resales never lose their "contract start date"? Might make them more attractive if this were in any way true (which I doubt) (whoops - should have kept reading before I posted lol)

You just got lucky and checked in a the right time.

I'm betting 9:30pm isn't "the right time" but if you say so...

No I don't think they do but it is an interesting question for sure. Maybe it is something DVD/DVC should look into I know for me it wouldn't make me book my home resort/s any more frequently but it would be nice to know that if I so choose my requests are higher priority being a member of that resort.
