I was just looking at the price for the breakfast buffet at Hollywood and vine and for Adults its 22.99! I thought that seemed a little steep for breakfast. And lunch was 24.99. Maybe its just me but would you pay 22.99 for eggs? :confused3

thinking what the other character breakfasts are priced, this does seem a bit high. anyone else?

Perhaps the other character breakfast's are in for a price hike?

Don't think I'd pay $22.99 each for breakfast.
my kids are teenagers now so that would be 5 adults!

We ate there once for Fantasmik package. It is not that great. IMHO. Why not take the boat to Boardwalk and try Spoodles for breakfast? They open at 7am and the boat is right out front and goes back to MGM :thumbsup2

i would have to agree w/snowwite. spoodles is excellent and when we did H&V for fantasmic we were not impressed. plus the wait was long!

Since we are staying at the Dolphin we probably would just grab something from the Picabu Buffeteria. I compared the prices with Spoodles and Picabu is cheaper. Most mornings we will be grabing fruit bars, bagels, or oatmeal from our room.

The buffet at Fresh was good and also there was a character one over at the Swan in the restaurant that looks like a bird cage. I forget the name.

First off~ I seriously doubt that H &v breakfast is simply *eggs* :confused3
Secondly, if the things that you stated are what you will eat for breakfast, It doesnt look like you wanted a buffet (or spoodles) for breakfast anyway. I realize that I dont know you, but based on your own statement of what You would be eating in the morn. Fruit bars, oatmeal... :rolleyes1

Why does everyone dog on H&V? We ate there last October for Fantasmic package and liked it. I got my very picky eater niece to try a lot of different foods, service was good, and we didn't have to wait long for our ADR. I don't think it is any worse than some other places we have eaten...as a matter of fact, I liked it better than CRT. (Which is not that great, REALLY long waits, and way over priced!)

H&V is a must - do restaurant for my sons.
We have been twice for the Fantasmic package and loved it each time. For my ADR's in October, I booked the Fantasmic package at Mama Melrose's as we had never been and I almost had a mutiny on my hands. pirate: Had to change it back to H&V. The boys love the buffet and the dessert bar. There is a creamed corn bread pudding there that is out of this world.

Never been for b'fast, but I am sure there will be plenty of selection other than eggs.

Enjoy!

H&V dinner was the worst meal and service of our trip, so I'd not take a chance there on a $23 breakfast.

I can only speak for myself. The service was horrible - our glasses sat empty, and we only got her to wait on us when we'd finally flag her down. We had to wait about forever for our check when we asked for it.

The wait to get in wasn't bad at all - the waits afterwards were.

And food wise? It was the only buffet at Disney I went to where there were more than one empty stations, and lukewarm food.

Just not a good experience here.

The egg thing was just a statement. Yes of course we would eat more than eggs. My point was the price for breakfast is outrageous! Just for DH & me it would be 45.98 and thats not includeing the kids. I only wanted to eat breakfast there for the playhouse characters.

we also only want to see the Playhouse characters, so we decided to do lunch, as it was only a few $s more and we felt if we ate at 2pm we would get more value out of it ? ie eat more :)

also we will do the rides am, dinner at 2pm out of heat, then shows pm and then fantasmic at 7.30pm ( oct 10th )

We didn't care at all for the food at H & V but we did have great service and were happy with our Fantasmic voucher.
