We will be in Orlando the first week of May. I am assuming (hopefully I'm right) that is won't be to busy that week. Is it worth the expense to buy the express pass. We are only doing IOA one day of our trip. There will be a total of 9 people in our party but some of them will either be to short or two scared (my mother :lmao:) to ride some of the attractions. We are also very intrested in WWOHP which I understand expess pass is not valid for. Since we will only be here one day we don't want to be standing in line all day but also don't want to shell out a whole bunch of money on the express pass if it's not really needed. We have never been here before so have no clue on lines and wait times ect. Any day of the week that's better then others to visit? Thanks everyone.

Not sure of the crowds then.If you go to universals website and look at ticket prices, the calender should come up with the prices for express pass on those days. The more expensive the express pass is, the higher crowds are expected.WWoHP is very very very popular. It should be your first stop of the day .If Ollivanders wand shop interests you, that should be stop #1.They only take in 20 guests at atime for the little show, and that line apparently goes from empty to long wait in a short period of time. After that Forbidden journey.Forbidden journey and Ollivanders do not take Express pass. The Dragon Challenge coaster, and Flight of the Hippogriff coaster does take it as far as I know.

Thanks I just checked the website and we would be going one day between May2nd-5th which are all blue days (the cheapest at 19.99) For the nine people in our party that would be an extra $180. Is it worth it or can we expect the crowds to be low enough that we can manage to see most things in a day without it?

You will probably be OK without EPs those days but you can always purchase them when you arrive if you think the lines are too long. I would not recommend buying them ahead of time.

:thumbsup2 Very good advice.

I had same question, so thanks also! I'll wait to buy once we're there if need be.

I was there last week which was also a 19.99 day. Express was not needed. May should be more busy than February though. But even with a slightly higher crowd, I would think that you would still be okay. Day of the week probably will make a difference too.

I'll also note that when we were there they didn't seem to be running their rides at full capacity. On Dragon Challenge there was only one dragon on each side, so you had to wait a full cycle to get new people on the ride. A higher crowd might have prompted an additional dragon on each track which would have made the lines move faster.

Slightly off topic...have you seen the dragons being added? It's really cool to see them glide out of the garage and on the moveable track into position on the main track. :teeth:

Thanks everyone, I won't buy them beforehand. Does anyone know which days of the week is generally slower then others?
