Do you think Disney will extend the After Hours event to June?

As of now, the After Hours events at MK are only scheduled to run till May. Does anyone have any insider scoop or thoughts on whether or not Disney will extend these into June? We will be there 6/3-6/12 and would love the opportunity to attend. I have to say I have completely changed my tune on this. In the beginning I was pretty much against it, but now that I hear the cap is only 3000, I'm all in! I would love to see MK with only 3000 people in it! That would be magical!

I guess the question is can they make "enough" money at the 50% off rate? If they can, they will continue. If they can't, then they won't.

I think the price drop shows they're committed to seeing how it plays out, so I would assume the summer would have them.

I have no great wisdom to make a guess, but if I had to make a bet, it would be that the recent price drop to $75 for AP plus the lack of extended hours currently on the summer calendars means that they're very seriously considering extending. I would say that the discounted price is a way of playing to find the "right" market price to get the desired revenue from this and they'll stick some in the summer as well. There are lots of theories that go against it, so I'm putting my odds of being right at about 60/40.

If they do continue, yay for Disney, yay for attendees who enjoy it, boo for the folks who are traveling in hot, crowded, busy summer and now need to schedule around EMH and DAH over the course of their week.

I still don't think they will have them in the peak crowds of summer. What is a tough sale at 10 PM is a far harder sale at midnight.
Yeah, but I'm afraid they'd make regular hours end at 10 some days just to run this. I know CMs and bloggers have said this is just an off-season or shoulder season event, but really when would buying low crowds be most valuable to the guest? On hot, crowded summer days! Hopefully I'm way off base. . .

Well since I was berated for suggesting that on an earlier thread, I decided to just cede the point and assume normal summer closing times for the sake of discussion.

Lol! "Normal, normal" or "posted", or "basic base". . .

I absolutely think this gets extended through the summer.
There are some theories out there that crowds may not be as plentiful as in summers past.
Only time will tell. This and Early Morning Money Maker are two ways to increase revenue during the normally very busy time frame.

I'd buy low crowds in the middle of summer. Not $149 though.

$75 works for me too! I couldn't justify spending $300 for DS and I to go, but no problem at $150! Fingers crossed they extend to June!!

I am hoping they keep it around! I would love to take advantage of it during my trip in September!
