Before DDP there were many TS that were almost impossible to get without ADR's so I don't see much changing but some of the more unpopular ones may have more available for walkins.

ADRs ARE A MUST!!!!!!
I am pretty sure the time of just walking up to a resturant that you want to eat at in WDW is gone. With any of the Dining Plans in place, you HAD to have ADRs. We had the Silver Plan, (years ago!) and we were surprised at the number, back then, that were turned away from different resturants and this was when Easter and Spring Break were in April. It may not be crowded in the parks during "off season", (is there really such a thing anymore?), but the resturants are packed, it seems.

ADRs will still be needed.

Not everyone used the dining plan, yet still knew to make ADRs. So, we are now "trained" into making them for our trips. I will make ADRs for any trips in the future because I want to know that I can eat at the places I want to eat at about the time I want to eat.

Add to that, attendance numbers year round are increasing. With attendance increasing but number of tables at current restaurants staying the same, there will always be places that will be booked.
