Do you take your own candy to the movies?

Do you take your own candy into the movies?

  • Yes, it's ridiculous to pay $4 for a box of raisinets

  • No, I think it is morally wrong

  • No, I don't eat candy/I'm on Atkins

  • I think we should move this to the De.....uh, Resort Board.

I do, and I always have. I think the prices are ridiculous for movie candy. Now the popcorn-gotta have that....

i do too....thats why we have big purses! :) ....... i buy drinks at the theater, and the guy behind the counter was even talkign about how ridiculous the prices are

Oh yes!! It's for the kids though. We do usually buy a large popcorn and large soda... they are refillable for free! That's a deal! I refuse to pay such high prices for candy!!

I voted "yes" and I don't feel quilty at all about it:)

I did, but quit doing it after puberty

We always take our own food to the movies & sometimes even drinks.

Unless we have to go to the City to the movie that is, then we go large & share.

Nope, don't eat popcorn or candy, but we do smuggle in bagels and juice. I don't feel at all guilty about it.

I put no because I don't normally eat candy at the movies, but I do bring my own can of soda.

tricia.

And put plastic cups in your purse so everyone can have their own popcorn! :p

I vote YES and I think it is Morally Wrong to charge me 8 bucks to see a movie ( which by the way I can own for 15 bucks in 3 months) and then 3 Plus dollars for some soda and 5 bucks for Popcorn!!!!! So For 2 people that is at a minimum ( no candy ) 32 Dollars!!!
What a rip off!!!

So yes I bring a napsack and some candy and soda and I buy the Pocorn>

I don't take candy or drinks.

When I take my son to the movies, I just plan to spend about $50.

The two theatres we go to the most have way more than just popcorn and candy. We can also get pizza, Nathan's hotdogs, burgers, fries, elephant ears, chicken tenders, cheese sticks...

I have, but not all the time. Even so, I'll still buy something else at the concession stand like popcorn or a Coke.

Actually, the concession stand is where the movie theatre makes the bulk of its money. I heard one time that the theatres only share maybe 10% of the admission during the first week or so and their share goes up the longer the movie is in the theatres.

The only thing I bring is a bottle of water. I don't really eat when I go to the movies, not even popcorn usually. Ocassionally I'll buy my kids popcorn, but never the candy. They know better and don't even ask for it. I'm not interested in taking out a second mortgage so my kid can eat junk in the movie theatre.

I smuggle in my own soda cans. Do I feel guilty? Absolutely not.
I occaisonally buy popcorn and then feel ripped off.

I do, but it's not about the money. It's about the Sno-Caps! My theater doesn't sell them, which I think is morally wrong because no one should have to eat popcorn without Sno-Caps!
