Do you take pics on dark rides?

  • Yes. I know it's not allowed, but I just can't help myself!

  • No, it is wrong, and I respect Disney's rules.

I am talking about FLASH photography.

no. It's against the rules and it's disrupting to the other people on the ride.

I respect the other people on the rides. It is very distracting to me when someone keeps taking flash pictures. I always try to act as if it is my first time on a ride. I do not repeat the script. I do not take flash pictures. And I do not talk thru the entire ride. I always assume the person infront of me and behind me has not been on the ride.

Well, you learn something new everyday. I had no idea it was against the rules :confused3 ?!? Thanks for the tip! Now, where do I stash all of my illegal indoor pics from Peter Pan's Flight? ::MickeyMo

I don't want to disturb anyone else on the ride with me. I think if I was all alone with just my party, I would reconcider, but I have never been that lucky.

I did the first time we went on It's A Small World with my boyfriend's son...he kept asking me to take pictures of certain things. I didn't realize that we weren't supposed to be doing it until the next year. I don't do it now.

I don't.

I also don't take too many pics of parades and shows. Pictures like that never come out for me, and I would rather experience everything myself...and not through a screen or lens.

I do but without the flash depending on the ride. i will take pics of IASW without my flash and some came out and some didn't. I never take it with a flash always without so I don't bother anyone. I took a pic also on POC without a flash and the pic sort of came out

I do with my digital camera but I don't use the flash...So I said no on the poll.

I don't know if "It's a Small World" would be considered a "dark ride". It is pretty bright in there. I always take pictures there and you see most people in the boats taking pictures. It also never fails, whenever I am looking at someones WDW pictures you always see pictures from IASM.

I've never used the flash on the camera but I try to snap a quick one every now and then. Shhh...but one time my dad video taped us on Tower or Terror. Its the best home movie we have!!!

:rolleyes1 I have taken pictures.... but NEVER with a flash-- and only a few at that. I am considerate to those around me and I too want a magical experience so I would never jeopordize that for any other guest. Those people who do take flash pics ruin the experience for others.

Never… personally, even though I’ve been on rides many time I hate to have that flash intrude on the magic. If I want a pix of the inside of a ride I give more money to the Mouse by purchasing a post card.

Do they have the no picture rule because of the flash? or do they just not want you to take pictures? I ask because my D-SLR has a museum setting which allows for taking pictures in low light but does not use a flash. I don't want to break any rules.

Thanks,

I didn't think IASW counted. I have TONS of pictures of that ride.

I have only taken ONE picture on a dark ride and it was on Haunted Mansion once when we got stuck and ALL of the lights went out. I turned and took a Flash Picture of my son who was 11 or 12. The look of fright on his face is PRICELESS. We love that picture! Oh wait I did "try" to take a picture once at the top of Spaceship Earth with the Earth and the stars but it didn't work.

We were on Haunted Mansion our last trip and someone beside us flashed their camera through the whole thing. It was ridiculous! Then we got stuck and they did it the whole time we were stuck. I made sure they heard me comment on it as I passed by them after the ride. It is very rude.

I've only took pics on IASW. Many people on my boat were doing the same thing. But I've never taken pics on any other ride.

Nope, never use flash on the rides, don't want to ruin it for others or myself.

Sandra, I feel for you. We went on Spaceship Earth and the people right in front of us took flash pictures for EVERY scene we passed through. And was one flash picture of each scene sufficient? Of course not! They took about five for EVERY SINGLE SCENE. The best part was when we were going through the dark tunnel with all the lights going on top, 'ah a break from the flash,' I thought....I thought wrong, yes, they had to take five pictures in the darkened tunnel, as well. I'm just glad it wasn't my first time on SE because it really ruined the magic. :sad2: :sad2: :sad2:

I take pics, try to without flash... I did not realize that it bothered people, when I go in Aug I will not use flash tho...
