Just wanted to do a little poll....

For those of you who take a mid-day break, and head back to your resorts for a little rest and relaxation, what time do you take your break? If you care to elaborate why, thats all the better too! :goodvibes

Usually around 2, but it depends on my ADR's. I like to freshen up for dinner. I don't like to wear my sweaty park clothes while I eat. :sad2:

We like to head out first thing in the am..not necessarily for opening but by 8am and then head back to the resort after lunch for a swim/freshen up sort of thing....lets the feet air, ahah. Then we head back in time for early dinner around 5ish...we eat early. and then we have the night at the park. Now of course this time we are going in January so the parks close early so that may change our strategy.
I'm not sure what we'll do in the evenings once the parks are closed.......hmm

When we go in summer, we like to be on our way out around 1 because of the heat. I made the mistake in July of making some ADRs for 2. That meant we were either walking to or away from the restaurants at the hottest point of the day and the time I'm most prone to burning. :sunny:

When we go at Christmas, we don't really worry about a break unless things just get too crowded or we happen to be tired. We don't get as tired when it is cooler, so we don't feel we have to take a break. We've also noticed that even though it is quite crowded around Christmas/Thanksgiving, the crowds seem to be in a somewhat better mood. We think it is because of the weather. YMMV.

No break for us. Kids are 7 & 9. We just keep and going and going and ..... :woohoo:

We don't usually, but will this year, obviously! We'll go when the toddler is screeching in tiredness. ;) Or, actually, probably eat lunch around 11-12 and leave after that for naptime.

The only break for us is a TS meal. We once made the mistake of going back to our resort in the late afternoon so we could take a break and I could get some laundry done, and found I was too tired and worn out to venture back to a park later, much to DH's chagrin. It's easier (for me) to stay in the parks all day and just keep going. We don't stay out too late, though ... usually back at the room by 8:00 or so at the latest.

We're planning 9-3 days this trip w/no returns back to the parks. The only exception is MVMCP day when we'll hit MGM until 12:30 and then hit our 5pm ADRs at MK

All depends on the park.

For Magic Kingdom, no. Get there at opening, leave at closing.

Epcot, usually. If we get there at opening, we'll leave around 4:00, and go to Downtown Disney or Magic Kingdom after a shower.

MGM - Always. Get there at opening and am done by 3:00.

Animal Kingdom - Get there at opening, leave by 5:00.

For us, depends on if we're with our kids or not. If they're with, we'll usually try to eat between 11-12 and then leave afterwards. When it's hot, it's ideal to leave around that time anyway. But if it's just DW and I, we'll go from open to close. We take our breaks on the rides ;)
