I have a tattoo of our wedding bands, so I never take it off.:cool1: I do wear my ring to work because not every body is ok with the tattoo. I tell dw we are together forever. :yay::yay::yay:

Poll coming...

ETA - I don't wear either because its easier to pick up guys... J/K!!! No really, I can't wear mine because since I've lose weight, they are to big. DH keeps yelling at me to get them sized down, or whatever, but I'm not in a rush, I still have about 20 more pounds to lose!

My husband and I both wear our rings every day. When he bought my rings I wore a size 5. Twenty-eight years and 80-lbs later the ring has been gradually widened. For awhile there I had gained a lot of weight rapidly and had to take the ring off--it was cutting off the circulation. I've lost 40-lbs and I can wear the ring again. I have about 40-lbs to go. When I get to goal weight I'm going to ask DH to give me a new, smaller wedding band. And a tummy tuck and a chest reduction. I won't stop until I'm HOT!

I wear both, and I clean them every morning. :goodvibes Some people don't care for jewelery, or don't think spending a lot on it is worth the money. And that's fine. (There's a lot of things I would never consider spending money on that other people seem to enjoy...) But my rings did cost a fair amount and I adore them. :lovestruc

I wore my original eng ring/wed ring combo for the first 10 years, only taking it off when I was too swollen from pregnancy to wear it. But after the kids were born my fingers went back down. On our 10th anniversary my DH got me a new ring that is bigger than my original and I wear that now. I only take it off to clean it or make meatballs! I want to get my original set resized to fit my right hand (it's bigger than my left), but haven't yet. We've been married 17 years.

My DH almost never takes his off. I wear my engagement ring whenever i leave the house, and take it off as soon as I get home. I love the ring, but really don't like the feel when I want to relax. Married 21.5 years next week.

I rarely ever wear my engagement ring. It is too big and stands up too high. 22 years ago, I loved it though. :)

I used my mom's wedding band and don't wear it much either.

After 5 yrs. of marriage, DH gave me a 5 stone diamond ring. I like it (it is small and low and doesn't get tangled while doing hair for a living) but it is gold and I rarely wear gold right now.

So, I'm wearing a wide silver plain band ring. It must be one of those silk fit rings because it is so comfy and smooth.

DH always wears a wedding band. He wore his grandpa's til last year when he did an Ironman and had to train and swim a lot. He lost enough weight that it got really loose and the race started in the Ohio River (ie. pretty doggone cool) and he was afraid of losing it so we bought him an el cheapo to wear.

Neither of us wear rings. I found out I was pregnant the night before our wedding, and I very quickly swelled up like a balloon.. So I took it off then, and then I lost it somewhere along the line. My dh wore his for a while, but he can wear it to work... and eventually lost his too. Someday we will get new rings. But no rush.

I got mine soldered together, so I HAVE to wear them together. The wedding band has diamonds across the top and they were always facing the underside. So I had them soldered and love it. I do take them off when I'm at home.

DH and I stopped wearing our rings several yrs ago.

We got married at the courthouse without rings, so I don't have that sentimental tie in with a wedding. We later got rings and now we no longer wear them.

Now I am hoping for a 20th anniversary band but if I don't get that then 25th would be good. We are going on 19yrs on Dec 21st.

I wear both - only jewelry I wear. For about 6 years I didn't - I had my kids in rapid succession and by the time I was done I was about 80lbs heavier than I am now. Finally dropped all the weight and was able to get the rings back on again! Dh has never taken his band off... they are cheap bands ($100 for both), but it's the sentimental nature of them... we'll never get new ones.

I have a wedding and an engagement ring but the ring but the one i wear is the one my hubby bought me @ SeaWorld

2 reasons:1- 5year anniversary ring, is a blue diamond which was my great grandmothers, which he placed into the dolphin setting he spent $160 for the ring. and

2- Dolphins have such a specific signifigance to both of us, after all if it wasnt for Tab and Presley (The two dolphins we worked with for 9 years) we wouldn't be together today.

this was Tabby, he passed away in 2002:

I almost never take my rings off. The only times I do are when I'm cleaning the house, making something really messy, riding my horses or having surgery. Seriously, that's it. DH takes his ring off when he works out, eats, cleans, or sleeps. One of his two rings (we bought one, was too big so we bought another, it couldn't be sized because it's titanium) is too big so he's afraid he'll lose it in his sleep.

It's strictly OUR issue but neither of us will ever go without at least the wedding band because we feel disrespectful to the other if we do. I don't understand married people going without their rings but it's not my business to begin with. So, no, you won't find us without ours. I don't much care if YOU have yours or not.

I certainly can understand what you are saying. I did feel weird when dh stopped wearing his. However it is too small for him.

I have hand excema and wearing rings is a pita. Plus my rings suck. I have a marquis cut that is like a sword.

I only wear my wedding ring - engagement ring does not match with it. My wedding ring is not my original ring since it got lost in the house after my last pregnancy. (hands swollen and put it away somewhere quick and never found it). Eventually dh bought me a nice wedding ring and we did not worry about it matching at the time mainly because I really cannot wear it at work.

Married 10 years. Wear both. Of course, they're soldered together, so if I wear one, I have to wear both. :)

I wear my band all the time. I used to wear my engagement ring several times a week but being pregnant now I'm puffy some days and not puffy others. I don't want to chance it and get it stuck on. My cousin had to have her rings cut off her when she was pregnant because she was so bloated. I don't want that to happen to me!

When DH and I got married, we were young and in love and got married rather fast. (engaged for only a week and a half). We spent our last $80 on the marriage license and two rings.

They were sterling with a celtic design. DH wears his on his handcuff key ring. So technically it's on his person. LOL

I now wear my Great Grandmothers band and about 5 years ago I received an engagement ring. (we've been married ten years)

My DH's Great Grandfather bought diamonds for his three girls with the intent that they would then be passed down to the oldest son of each and so on and so forth. My DH grandmother passed hers to her oldet son my DH Uncle and the other two sisters had no children so since Dh's father was the second boy born so no ring DH's great aunt gave her's to DH. He is the only boy. So, on Christmas DH got down on one knee and gave me a real proposal and the ring. LOL

I have only girls and we are DONE so if one of his sisters has a boy I will pass it on to them. I have her wedding band too, which I will keep to be passed with the ring.

I wear them both pretty much whenever I leave the house, except for when going to Muay Thai because I don't want to take jewelry off at the gym. However, the second I am in the house all jewlery comes right off.

My fiance bought me an antique engagement ring, and don't get me wrong, I love it, but it does scratch surfaces or people so I put it away and usually wear it for special days and on Sundays. I bought a simple old band to wear in the meantime. I would go without it, but I like the old band.

I've been married 4 months and I love wearing mine. They're a little loose right now because I swear my hands shrink in these bitter cold Utah winters.. But then they puff up in the smoldering summers. :confused3

DH ALWAYS wears his band. And I mean ALWAYS.. in the shower... while sleeping... I love it I think it is special. Oh and I also have "DO NOT REMOVE" inscribed on the inside of the ring ;)
