Do you still get a welcome packet for your Disney package vacation?

It's been about 5 years since my last trip. I'm less than 30 days out from my Disney vacation.
I received my magic bands today.

I remember getting a packet with free miniature golf vouchers and discount coupons for certain stores.

So, will I get a packet now?

I'm wondering this as well. I'm 23 days out and haven't received anything. (I'm Canadian so need to pick up the magic bands at the resort)
In 2014 I got the golf vouchers and coupons by this time.

I got one before our October trip. For some reason they had us pick up the mini golf vouchers at the front desk, but we received a welcome packet in the mail. We got it around the same time as our Magicbands. Maybe give it another few days and call to see if they've sent it?

They are only sent for packages. Room only doesn't get them.

No, you can only get them as a benefit for booking a package. They also only provide luggage tags for package bookings.
It's not really a Welcome Package either. It's called a Magic Your Way package
There is another Welcome Package that everyone gets but it's not got coupons or luggage tags, just a flyer with info about your resort and pointing out a few rides.

Last time we booked a package, a couple days after we arrived there was a parcel waiting for us at the front desk with our vouchers. I don't know if this is because we are Canadian or if it was another reason.

we got one as well. and we are still over 200+ days out. My daughter loves the little booklet with our name, and our resort/package info in it. She thinks its cool they made it just for us.

As far as I know, anyone booking a package should get their Magic Your Way pack. It's a perk for booking a package. If you don't get one before you arrive, ask when you arrive. Or call and ask before you arrive. But don't call it a Welcome package, they wouldn't have any clue what that is. It's a Magic Your Way coupon book.
If you want the coupons. We never used ours so I didn't really worry when we switched to an AP and knew we'd be booking room only at that point.

We got ours 3 weeks prior to going- but we're also in England and booked a package through Disney UK.

There is definitely a rhyme and reason.

If you book the package, you get the package. If you don't, you don't.

I had two trips planned in September. One was with our current annual pass and DVC points. We didn't get the coupons or luggage tags. And we weren't expecting them. We didn't book a package.

My second trip, was with a Magic Your Way package. It included, for each person, a 5 day park hopper pass, quick service dining plan, one luggage tag and a room, at All Star Sports, that we shared. I also received the packet of coupons.

Book a package, receive, as part of that package, a coupon book. Don't book a package, no coupon book for you.

This little book doesn't include the vouchers and such that the post is referring to. Everyone gets the personalized booklet after they book.

The luggage tags we are talking about aren't for DME.

They are more of a commercial tag. Something you would purchase, and it matches your magic band.

If you are staying at a resort and using DME, you will get those tags similar to what airlines use to put on your luggage so it gets routed directly to your resort room. The "luggage tag" that comes with the coupon book is like a Disney promotional item that you might buy in the store, it's like an identification tag that you can put your name and address on it, but it's not an official airline tag.
