Do you split your days between parks....

We usually split. We always have parkhoppers. We've done up to 3 parks a day, although we usually do 2. One of the parks is always Epcot, our favorite. We're not worried about missing stuff because we go a lot and know we'll be back. It's just DH and I so no kids yet so it's easy to move around a lot.

We always split. We always take an afternoon break. We rarely go back to the AM park in the PM (except possible for MK if it is open later).

I have never hopped. We have always done each park and stayed for the whole day.

We have never felt the need to hop. Then again, we are 20- and 30- something's that don't tucker out very easy!! :wizard:

I couldn't live without the flexibility of park hopping so that is a given that's always in my budgeting for a trip. Period.
I said the same thing about our upcoming trip. But after really thinking about it, we are going with non hopping tickets this year. It will save my familiy of 4 $140. We are there ten days, so, we will get plenty of park time in each park. If I only had 5 days, I would get the hopping for sure but as of now, I have a pretty good plan of what we'll do each day and don't see a huge need to hop. We will leave and return to the same park some days or leave and not come back other days visiting another resort for dinner or going to DTD.

Anyway, if during the trip I decide I can't live without hopping, I will just add it to my ticket when I am down there...No big deal

We just got back and went to one park in the morning, then went back to the pool in the afternoon to wind down then went to another park at night. My children are young so I didnt want to tire them out.

Wow!!! I just noticed your kids in your sig line- triplets??? What an intro to parenting!!! Kudos to you, Mama!! :cheer2: I've always said that it was my 3rd that left me feeling like life was over, and the 4th was a breeze... I can't imagine doing the first three at once! :earseek:

Oh - we don't tucker easily either, which is another reason to get hoppers! EMH hours. Sometimes you can go from 7am until midnight! Yippee! There's nothing like entering a park when so many people are going out! AK usually only stays open until 6 at the latest, then what do you do? You head over to MK!

After doing some calculations online, I figured that the YQE discount codes actually discount the myw tix as well as the room. I was told otherwise by every CM i talked to. I just called and asked how much it would cost to add hopping to my 4 myw tix and was told $140 plus tax (about $149). I said, go ahead and apply it and see how much my package goes up. Sure enough, she applied the hopping and my package only went up $100 plus tax (about $106) so the hopping IS discounted $10/per ticket with the code ($25/ticket plus tax is the cost).

So, anyway, I added it. So much for my previous post. I guess I couldn't live without it.

BTW, it appears you get $10 off on either the water park add on the hopping or both but $10 is the max...

Some of both. The hop feature is worth the money, IMHO. If nothing else, it serves as insurance, in case a park is particularly crowded, or your favorite rides are down that day. I've been to MGM on days when several rides were down, so it's nice to be able to come back.

I agree. If a park is particularly crowded, we ususally just hop over to another. We also park hop when we want to see the Spectromagic at MK, but we don't want to deal with a full crowded Saturday there (we go in early December). So we will go to Epcot for the day and hop over to MK to see the parade. Works well for us, but then again we don't have kids.:flower:

I love being able to park hop. First of all, like other posters have said, it's nice to be able to leave a park if it gets crowded. We almost always plan MK and AK for the morning, then leave for another park when the lines start getting longer. (My children are 4 and 6 and hate waiting, so we don't.) Then we might return to MK in the evening for Wishes. Second, it allows us more flexibility with dining. We like a lot of the restaurants over in Epcot, so if we're going to break for something to eat, we often head over there...especially from MK. And third, the transportation from park to park is usually enough of a rest for my two...DD might take a little nap enroute and DS gets to sit down for a while...so they are ready to do more once we arrive at our destination.

Have fun!

The other thing about Hopping which we like & I neglected to mention on my earlier post - The difference of experiences. MK is all rides, MGM has alot of shows, AK is alot of animal watching, Epcot is actually a good mix of everything.
But sometimes after riding for several hours at MK, taking in a few shows at MGM is a nice change of pace.
Moving from the Fantasy World of MK to a Science & Technology Experience of FutureWorld in Epcot is good.
Spending the morning going around the World of Animals at AK is nicely followed by seeing some Cultural exhibits & sampling different foods in World Sowcase at Epcot
