I'm supposed to be sleep now and I can't!!! We leave at 3 a.m. I keep telling myself, "Tomorrow, this time you'll be in Disney".

It's 11:15PM now, Flight is at 6:45AM tomorrow. Leave for the airport at 4:45 AM. So I guess there is not too much sleep in my future:surfweb:

1st WDW trip hours away!

I try to sleep but it is soooo hard with everything bouncing around in my head! Usually I drop off right before it is time to get up.

it takes me ages to fall asleep and then i wake up about 3/4am and then doze for the next couple of hours checkign the clock everynow and then until its time to get up!! It doesnt matter where i am going on holiday i am always undable to sleep the night before!!

I usually catch the first flight out to MCO, so I try to get about 5 hours of sleep, knowing it will be busy the next day. I'm usually up by 4am though all excited!!!:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

I voted that I always sleep. I either check in after work, in which case I've gone to sleep as normal to go to work, or I'm checking in on a day off, in which case I take advantage of the opportunity to sleep in since I usually can't get a room until afternoon anyway. It helps that I have such a short drive to get there, and I don't have to go through a long drive or the airport routine.

I have trouble sleeping the night before I'm leaving Disney to go home, because I know as soon as I go to sleep, the trip will be over.:sad1:

Nope. We leave around 3 am because we drive. The kids and I stay awake so that we can sleep in the car. DH goes to bed around 5 pm that day and doesn't have a problem sleeping until about 11:00 or so, then he's up and ready to go!

I can always sleep - I guess it's since I'm only 1 1/2hrs away from WDW. I'll go to bed the normal time, but I'm the first one up about 6:30am the next morning wanting to pack the car & leave. Don't know why other that I just want to get to my "happy place". I usually have everything packed & sitting by the back door so that all we have to do is load the car, load the dog, drop the dog off at my Mom's and hit the road. I have plenty of Disney music CD's in the car so that we're in the Disney mode when we arrived at the hotel. :goodvibes

I'll sleep maybe 2 or 3 hours before it's time to get up, but like somebody said, it's more a "rest". Heck, sometimes I can't sleep now because I'm so excited and my trip isn't for 5 months! :lmao:

That's me too! I try really hard to sleep because I know I need the rest, but for the most part "I'm to excited to sleep"!
Seams like once I finally settle down the alarm goes off! LOL

:surfweb: We have always had 6am flights, so we have to be at the airport at about 4:30, 4:45am and there is always last minute packing, and stuff the night before and then there are the nerves about flying:scared1: but eventually I sleep for about an hour

You know that Disney commercial where the kids get busted for still being awake and mom rolls over to dad and says "are you asleep" and he says he is too excited?

That's exactly how it is at our house the night before every Disney trip. :)

In October we are flying instead of driving (I HATE to fly) so I should be awake for approx 3 days before we go worrying about the flight....:scared1:

and I found this cute commercial when I was searching for the other one:

On our departure day, we wake up around 2-2:30, leave around 4-4:30, arrive at the airport around 5-5:30, and wait for 2 hours until our flight, lol. I usually only get about 1 hour of sleep.

We always leave at night when we are supposed to be sleeping and I stay awake for most of the drive to make sure that my dad doesnt fall asleep during the drive

Thanks Dizwiz! Haven't seen the Too Excited commercial lately.
I loved the other commercial with the couple too!

Sleep? You kidding? I don't sleep the night before, yet somehow, I still am ready before all of my other party members, who do sleep.

When I found the other one (with the couple), I just had to add it, even if it was a little off topic...:rotfl: :goodvibes

I'm trying to talk DH into leaving the night before since we are driving. I figure I won't get much sleep anyway so I might as well use that time wisely.
