Do you sing in the car?

I was on my way to work this morning, singing along, when I glanced behind me at the stoplight and the lady behind me was doing the same thing. I just wondered how many others do this. If so, do you stop when someone else might see you?

Now if I could just get DD to stop playing her cd's in my car with the bass turned all the way up. <sigh> I hate turning the car on in the morning and getting THAT!

Yes, but I sing with my kids. But we all sing in the car.

All the time. I asked this question before here and I was surprised how many people said they did.

If it's a REALLY good song, I keep on singing if someone pulls up next to me. If it's a marginal song, I stop.

It depends on the song, but my daughter does all of the time. It's amusing that a 3 year old likes Duran Duran and knows the chorus of "Reach up for the sunrise"

I most definitely sing in the car!! My kids love to do it too, especially my 3 DD's who are 24, 20 and 12. When we went to see Mama Mia in Toronto, we got stuck in detour traffic. Since we had the soundtrack, we had it playing loud while we all sang along to it. Sometimes people look at us funny, but most often smile at us!!

Oh yes!! I'm quite the Diva in the car!! Have to be careful at stoplights when the windows are down though! LOL

Not only do I sing, I belt out the tunes at the top of my lungs. It is pretty embarrassing sometimes, but oh well I'm having fun.

Stepharoonie - WPLJ (in NY) is having a contest to have breakfast with Duran Duran Wednesday morning. You have to call and sing your favorite DD song. My cousin and I are going to call tomorrow and sing New Moon on Monday. Nice to see other DD fans.

In a way I do. I sign the songs as I am driving. Guess that counts as singing. Occasionally gotten some strange looks and once in a blue moon I end up in a conversation with another person who signs.

I always sing in the car - sometimes I will stop if I am at a stop light (cause I am sure I look pretty crazy sitting there alone in my car just singing away), but usually I just keep on singing.

I'm glad to know I'm not alone! I don't mind singing with DD in the car--for some reason I don't think it looks as weird when you have someone else in the car. It's when I'm all by myself that I get embarassed.

I also remember when DD was little and had a car seat in the back of the car. My ex made fun of me because he was driving in another car in front of me and looking in the rear view mirror, it appeared as though I was having an animated conversation by myself.

YES!!! Always, since I was a kid and now I have my kids doing it also. I too try to be a little more "aware" when the windows are down and I'm going through town or stopped at a red light!

If it's just me or me & my husband in my car, I sing along. If anyone else is there, I won't. But since I drive solo most of the time, I'm usually singing

All the time. Lately, I've seen a lot of deer on the streets and me and my son sing "Doe, a deer, a female deer" to and from work.

It's very funny.

I don't sing in the car because my DD is always singing away. One song right in to the next. When we go somewhere with my sister...watch out. My DD and Aunt "Nanny" run the show. There's no stopping them. My sister suggested we drive to WDW next trip. NO WAY...They would sing all the way! You can only tolerate 'Hungry Little Worm" and 'Queen of Colors" for so long then AHHHHHHHHHHHHH1

oh yes!!!! i bust out singing no matter where i am. i usually sing at the top of my lungs but when the ever so hot guy pulls up next to me i stop and i act like i did not just do that!! lol amazing how i fall apart before my eyes when a hot guys pulls up lol!!!
