Do you shop on Black Friday?

I went out early ONE year - I am not a morning person, and would rather just sleep in that day.

i will say that by about 2pm, it's a GREAT day to shop, because those looking for the early deals have come and gone, and everyone else thinks that the mall is to be avoided at all costs - but in reality, everything is fairly empty and there are usually leftover deals to be had!

I went out last year with MIL. They live in a small town and they only have WalMart and KMart. It was kind of fun.

I am not going out this year. No desire.

Only if there is something good. This year I need an external hard drive for all these dang pictures I have been taking, so I'm going! I KNOW I will get some other stuff too!! Maybe a good graphics card. :geek:

I haven't for the past two years, but this year I will be in PA and will go to the Redding Outlets and then the King of Prussia Mall.

I'm thinking of bringing my son's hockey gear and helmet with me!

No way! I worked retail for 7 years - I saw too much pushing, shoving, and stealing bargains from other carts. Much nicer to just sleep in.

I do it every year. I love it! My DH thinks I am a nut job. We do it as a group of about -7 people. We split up everyone's lists and stake out items. It takes us about 30 minutes to shop a store, and about 45 minutes, if the check out lines are long. By 9:00 a.m. I am done. I think that this year I am going to do some of my shopping from online.

I've done it 2 or 3 times in my lifetime. I'm sleeping in this year.

I'll go if I have a targeted item in my sites. Last year it was luggage at JC Penny, this year it will be a digital camera. Some stores are not as bad, but I'll stay away from Best Buy and Walmart. The crowds are too thick to move around at Walmart in the morning. I live a mile from all of these stores, so it's easy for me to get ready etc....

Usually I do, but this year I don't know if I will. I am pretty much done with my Christmas shopping & so far what I have seen in the ads, nothing really appeals to me.

Maybe we will put up Christmas decorations instead

I go with my mom every year. I always grumble about being dragged out of bed at 5am, but in the end it's a tradition that I always really enjoy.

We hit a few early stores, have Chic-fil-et biscuits, hit some more stores, then at 11:30am or so, go pick up my brother (and this year my fiance will be with us, too) for lunch.

For some reason, I always look forward to going shopping on Black Friday. Whether I go with friends or my mom or MIL, I just love it. We go early, do some shopping, have lunch, do some more shopping and then collapse in the evening

There are stores I refuse to go into, though - Walmart is one of them. People get too nasty, and I won't put up with that over merchandise!
