We use Disney transportation for a few reasons 
1~ The first is cause it's cheaper; I would rather spend the extra money that one would use for a car and gas for a longer stay, more souveniers/treats or even a deluxe resort.
2~ We LOVE staying in the 'Disney Bubble'; I really wouldn't want to go out of it once I'm in it (and that starts with the Magical Express!)
3~ I don't want to drive; my husband (at this time) does not have his license and I have to drive all the time, I'd really rather not drive on vacation.
