Do you remember your first...

I was about 20 when I had my first wine cooler, bought by my younger sister's husband (he was the only one of us that was legal at the time). I don't count the sips of beer my aunt let us taste. I can't stand the taste of the stuff. YUCK!

I was allowed sips of beer, dixie cup sized glasses of wine (or asti) on Sunday dinners. Then wine coolers around 13 or 14. Oh and lots of blackberry brandy or a nip of whatever for "medicinal purposes". My first non parental approved alcoholic beverage was purple passion when I was 13

Sadly, I don't actually remember my "first" drink :confused3 It must have been at age 14 and our usuals were, Lime Vodka and Sprite, Peach Schnapps, Peppermint Schnapps, beer, and various "trash can punch" type concoctions. I drink very little now, but that was a thirsty year.

Screwdriver, I was 18 and on our senior trip on Grand Bahama Island. One of my oldest guy friends bought it for me at the first bar. That bar was boring and quiet, so we went to the FUN bar, Cap'n Kenny's, where the real party was taking place. :cool1: There I had strawberry daquiri's and a lot of them, with the majority of the kids on the trip. THe walk back to the hotel was marked with us singing, loudly. Then we saw our "chaperones" in the lobby and tried to act sober....until we realized they were drunk and trying to act sober as well. :rotfl: We all passed each other quickly with mumbled hellos. We headed to the hot tub, they headed to bed. :rotfl:

My first real drink I was probably 14 or 15 and it was a Zima (hangs head in shame) in the park in the middle of the night while my parents were sure I was in bed having made it home in plenty of time before curfew.

Ah, a strawberry margarita ordered "virgin" but made with alcohol anyway. I was 16 and on a college visit for prospective students. I kept remarking to my mom that it was the tastiest margarita that I'd ever had.

But was it a Zima with a Jolly Rancher dissolved in it? :rotfl2:

I was 14. My parents were out of town, my best friend was staying at my house for the weekend and my older sister (who was watching us) let us have beer.

I was 18 and on a trip with my boyfriend (now my husband) and his parents to Cancun.

The hotel we were at had a bar near by and the drinking age there is (was?) 18, so we snuck over to the bar one night and I ordered a Strawberry Daquiri.

I couldn't wait to taste it!! I thought for sure it was going to be good. It certainly sounded good. Anyway, I hated it!! :scared:

I'm 36 now and I've tried many different drinks and much to my dismay cannot find one I like. :confused3 I've tried to be a lush but it just hasn't worked out! :rotfl:

Seven sevens at my cousin's wedding - LOTS of 'em. I think I was 14. I was soooo gone. My dad was a big drinker, and mom loved her whiskey sours, so they never really cared much at the time - I had a long leash when it came to alcohol as a teen - I made sure my own daughter never got ANY leash.;)

A tiny tiny bit to a 1/4 to half a glass of wine, French family, no big deal. Probably starting at 7 and up.

It's good to see so many of us drinking so responsibly! :goodvibes

I don't specifically recall my first drink, but it was sometime in the seventh grade. I hope my children are more responsible than I was.

My parents let DSis and I drink one galss of wine on special occasions - Christmas, birthdays, Easter, Thanksgiving, Groundhog Day, Fridays . . . (j/j about the last two)
I remember drinking the "special water" (i.e., white wine) in a restaurant in Epcot when we were celebrating my 11th or 12th birthday.

I remember ordering drinks at the bar at a family member's wedding when I was about 15. I remember ordering a couple Brandy Alexanders and White Russians.
