Horizons was one of my most favorite attractions.
Here's another cool website about Horizons. Two warnings:
1) Have your sound down when you click to go there - it plays the Horizons greeting quite loud.
2) The Horizons icon in the middle of the page looks like it goes somewhere, but it doesn't. You need to use the links along the top of the page.
Sue M thanks for that Awsome Horizons website!!!!
I miss the old classics like Horizons, World of Motion and the original Journey into imagination. That music brings back great memories.
They just don't make cheesy rides like they use to at WDW..

I miss all those too. I love Test Track and Mission: Space, but sometimes I get a little nostalgic for the old rides. Not too fond of the new Imagination, but at least Figment is still there.
I have to agree. While growing up my family was too poor to take a vacation to WDW. In 2004 (I was 22) I went for my first time. WDW was great, but I wish all the classics were still there for me to experience. When I think of WDW I think of all the pics/video's I saw of World of motion, Journey, and Horizons. I think thats why COP, Spaceship earth, and HM are a few of my fav rides. To be honest I'm nervous as to what I'm going to think about the rennovated POC. I will be at wdw in just a few weeks. I wont be able to go back until late 2008. *sigh* Maybe the 'next' theme park should be Nostalgic Kingdom. ECV's for everyone!
Also do you remember (If you had wings) sponsored by some airline. It was where buzz lightyear is now. When we were kids, the rides were on a point system and differnt rides cost different amounts of coupons. That was the only free ride and we went on it millions of times. I loved it!
Ooooh I used to LOVE Horizons! My first trip to WDW was back in '87 when I was in Jr High and I fell in love with Epcot (I've always loved Science) and I thought Horizons was sooo cool! I loved that you could "choose your own adventure" and that everybody got their own screen!
I remember being on Horizons years ago when I was pretty young...I remember the end part where you had to choose your way to go...I can clearly remember freaking out, screaming at my parents to tell me which way they were going to pick...I was so scared that I'd pick something different and end up in a completely different part of the park!
They need to create a new land called back in time where they could put some of the old favorite. I just cheched out Walt Dated World and there is so many things there that I never seen but wish I could of.

I remember this ride. We were staying at the Comtemporary. I think only the Contemporary and the Poly were around then. My brother and I took the monorail over to MK and rode "It You Had Wings" over and over and over again. I think we did it like 15-20 times in a row.
