take along a hard copy of your plans? If the app doesn't work for me I"m lost as to where to go and when. Just thinking if I should print out a plan and carry it with me with all the numbers & times to everything.

You could make notes in an email or in the notes app.

I'm a big proponent of not carrying around extra stuff.

I use the app, so I can modify FP while touring. If you have trouble with the app you can access MDE via your phone's browser.

I use the app but also take a hard copy of my touring plan print out just in case. I love touring plans, been to a WDW a ton of times but still use them and love them. I also always have a stroller with a huge storage compartment, so I carry a bunch of extra stuff, lol.

I have hard copies in the hotel room to review each day but I don’t carry them around. I take screen shots of all my confirmation emails and put reminders in my phone for ADRs but for the most part I just use the app.

Yes, but you can make a touring plan and print it out. They also have the Lines app that has much more accurate wait times then Disney’s.

I always take along a hard copy and find that it is easier to just pull out a piece of paper vs trying to connect and get on the app. I have my plans in excel so I am able to create a schedule for each day. I am a detailed planner so not everything we want to do/see can be plugged into the app anyways.

I'm downgrading to smartphone to flip phone (I'm sick of my smartphone) when I go. I have a binder of all my plans, and keep the info in a little calendar in my backpack. The apps are great, but for my phone. It kills my battery. Also, they have fast past stands, so yay! ^_^

App. No back-ups. I did buy a battery pack/charger so I have enough juice to use the refresh strategy this time around, which I just learned about on my 20th-ish trip

I use the app and another app that consolidates all of my travel info (flights, transportation, hotel), dining, and activities. In the parks, I primarily use the MDE app. The other one is for the overall travel and itinerary but can be used for backup information. I prefer to use MDE in the park because it has park schedule and maps but I also have the touringplans app. I haven't used hardcopy in years.

When I was there two weeks ago the MDE Disney app was updating ride times much faster that Touring Plan's.. that app was driving me nuts. Also a cast member reminded me to screen shot the page of FP's each day juuuust in case something happens to one of them or something goes wrong. For example when I was there, Test Track closed due to weather for awhile, when it came back up they gave us a multi-use/use on any ride FP. I had another FP to use on Spaceship Earth and wanted to make sure it didn't use the muti FP on spaceship earth so we could go back to TT when it opened... the CM said .. well it "should" but take a screen shot beforehand JUST IN CASE!!

If you go within your scheduled fastpass window of time, it will use your scheduled fastpass, not the anytime fastpass.

Will be using the app for the first time this year but will also have hard copy of my schedule spreadsheet showing all ADRs, tours and FPs as a backup.
