I'm now planning a family trip to WDW. It will be my younger dd's first time at the parks. She will be 5 when we go. It will be my older dd's second trip.

I find myself thinking about meals already. (But anyone who knows me wouldn't be shocked by that!) There were places we went with the older one that I am considering revisiting on this trip. I was wondering how many of you revisit restaurants each trip. For example -- we had breakfast at the Crystal Palace and Kona Kafe. We had dinner at Chef Mickey's, Le Cellier, and 50's Prime time. I'm thinking about revisiting Chef Mickey's and the Crystal Palace because I think my daughter would enjoy the characters.

I don't want this trip to be a carbon copy of the last trip, but I know some continuity wouldn't be bad.

Here are the restaurants we always go to on every visit:

Liberty Tree Tavern
Crystal Palace
50s Prime Time
Le Cellier

I know there are a few others, but I can't remember them right now.

We redo:

Chef Mickey's & 50's PT Cafe. What can I say, we love interacting!

I have been to CP once and would go again. :Pinkbounc

We always have to go to Rain Forest Cafe! And breakfast the morning we leave is at BOMA. Other than that we try to make at least two sit down meals at new places every trip.

We redo a lot. LTT and Chef Mickeys are on the list for almost every trip. Oh, and I don't think we've ever NOT eaten at Columbia Harbor House. (Except when it was closed, of course!) But considering all the stomach problem my family has (three with GERD and me with IBS), when we find a restaurant that works, we tend to stick with it.

We visit Ohana's (the only restaurant in the U.S. that my wife considers a favorite) on almost every trip. Other than that, we usually eat at the restaurants in our resort or its immediate area, and since we stay at a different resort each trip it's usually new restaurants for us. I don't repeat restaurants in theme parks until we've eaten in all of them first (sit-down restaurants only).

Germany .....Mexico.....when we have the grandkids.....we do Le Cellier.....Donaldsbreakfastasaurus....we had vegetarians...fussy eaters.....two on diets and did Hollywood and Vine ....this place has it all and even the kids were thrilled.....we love Cosmic Rays and they have a good selection too....

Pretty much every trip we go to Columbia Harbor House in the MK, Beaches and Cream at the BC, Flame Tree Barbeque at the AK, Ohana's at the Poly. We have also repeated the California Grillat the Contemporary, Palio at The Swan, Le Cellier in Canada, the indoor Mexican restaurant(the fancier one, not the cantina, although we've eaten at the cantina a few times too!), the Lotus Blososm(the take out place)in China, Fulton's in DD.

A few that we've eaten at that weren't to our particular taste were Norway(Akershaus I think it's called) and Morocco.

IMHO, the food at WDW is generally very good. I still have people who say "oh, it's all fast food", but those are generally people who haven't been there since 1975 and think they know everything about the place anyyway!

California Grill and Spoodles always seem to be on our list. Even if I don't plan to go to them, I always end up there!

We visit several of the same restaurants on every trip:

Le Cellier
Donald's Breakfastasaurus
Chef Mickey's
Crystal Palace
Coral Reef
Cinderella's breakfast
and the one in the German pavillion whose name escapes me at the moment.

We do it because the children remember the restaurants from visit to visit and request it. My DS would be very disappointed if we didn't the German restaurant and my DD always wants to do Cindy's. Just last night I was trying to get the kids to help me plan our next trip and these places are already on the list.

several repeats here:

Le Cellier
Rose & Crown
fish & chips stand in UK at Epcot
50's Prime Time
Mama Melrose's
Toy Story Pizza Planet
Comsic Ray's
Cantina De San Angel
can't remember the name but it's in Japan at Epcot

We also have done a few repeats but we try to get a nice mix of new vs. the old faves.

This next trip will be a little trickier for us because for the first time we will have DS with us and I just don't think a place like Brown Derby or Artist Point will be the same with a toddler along so we will be branching out a little more toward counter service and buffets/character meals.

We always go to Chef Mickey's, Trails End and Concourse Steakhouse. We do go to several other restaurants, but not on each vacation. New places we are going to try in May are LTT, O'hana's and Garden Grille for lunch.

We try to do mostly new, but we have gone back to a few favorites. :)

We always try to get one or two new places in on each trip. But ever since we ate at Boma's about 2 years ago, that is a MUST every trip....by request of the kids!

We redo but we try to force ourselves to try new places. We have always stayed at a new resort so far (Beach Club in August will be our 4th new resort). We ate at Cindy's twice for breakfast and we all agreed that was enough. We usually eat at Tony's. My kids MUST eat at Sci-Fi or their heads will explode or something! I'm forcing them to do Prime Time again (they dislike the teasing but I like the atmosphere and food). We'll try the BC character breakfast and never been able to get a good time for Crystal Palace. Have fun planning.

We redo a few places but I purposely try new restaurants. There are just so many to try out!! We seem to stay in a different area each trip also which helps make it easier to sample new restaurants. In planning for our Oct. trip I know we will try to redo Cindy's breakfast and also HDDR. Every trip we seem to hit Flame Tree B-B-Q at AK. At the other parks I seem to want to try new places.

I think it would be great to have some overlap of meals that you have already done especially if you enjoyed them a bunch the first time!

Always do San Angel & Rainforest. Otherwise, we try to do new places. However, Le Cellier was so good last year, it may become a regular. :D

We always repeat restaurants!!! We just have our favorites and keep going to them. We always try to mix in a few new ones, but pretty soon we'll be out of new ones!!!! Some of our more favorite repeat trips:

Chef Mickeys
Crystal Palace
Kona Cafe
Narcoossee's
50's Prime Time Cafe
Whispering Canyon Cafe
Cape May Cafe

We pick and choose. We try to skip a restarurant (even if we love it)every few trips - but we always go to 'ohana and Wolfgang Puck cafe. And a trip without breakfast a Chef Mickey wouldn't be Disney.

9 days - can't wait!!!
