Do you recommend Fantasmic for 2 adults?

I don't think it's just for kids, but I definitely think you should do the dinner package because the thing I dislike about Fantasmic is the LONG wait for the show to start.
Have fun!

I would recommend it 100%. Myself and all other adults I have been with love it too. :goodvibes

Myst

I just got back from WDW and we saw the 7pm show on Saturday and I really think I enjoyed myself more than the kids. Sure the kids liked it and all of the special effects but I really felt nostalgic and felt like a kid again. You should definately go see it!!! :flower:

If you have any phobias about crowds...BEWARE :scared1: Only kidding! It was fine the first and only time we saw it. The crowds are tremendous, I think something like 10,000 are in the arena when it is full. You wait a l-o-n-g time for the show to begin because you have to get there so early to get a decent seat. I ate more junk food from the vendors who were selling while we waited then the whole trip... :cake: :drinking1

There was an older man who was sitting next to us that didn't speak very good English and he was getting a bit antsy with the crowds. He kept asking me how to get out if there was an emergency.

All in all it was a good show, but the combined wait and crowds and then the wait to get out made it a bit of a hassle to say the least.

If anything I found a lot of the younger children were crying and scared but the adults and older kids loved it! You will enjoy it - other than the long wait and leaving was a pain in the butt!

I don't recommend it. Wishes & Illuminations are *MUCH* better. In fact, I was pretty disappointed in Fantasmic. We definitely won't be heading back to see it in April.

Sure! My sister and I went last May, and I loved it! If they are doing 2 shows, go to the second one. Lot less waiting and no need to do the dining package.

It's all personal taste, but I liked Fantasmic! better than Illuminations. I thought the globe part took way too long: I couldn't make out any of the pictures on it so I could not follow what was going on during that part at all. However, I now have glasses to see for distance, so I plan on giving it another try in December to see if that's what the problem was :teeth: . I did like the music and fireworks part, though.

I called and they said only one 9 PM show.. When do they have more than 1?

Also, they said they cancel if it's raining... Does it rain a lot in May?

It is not just for kids. The two of you will really enjoy it. The effects are wonderful and the whole atmosphere is really charged!

DW dragged me to it last time we went and i enjoyed it. 38 and i don't go for too much cutesy crap ;) enough fire, villains, and light show for most adults.

My DH, myself and our best friend loved Fantasmic. Our other friend was poorly the day we went to see it so didn't go. We will all be going back to see it on our next trip. We also plan on booking the dinner package so we don't have to que. We did this last time which was great.

I loved Illumuniations...until Fantasmic...

When I go in May with my DM, we are planning on seeing fantasmic twice and wishes twice

I tried to explain this to my mom, as they are coming with us, Mom knows we saw this last year, and couldnt figure out why we're going again!! Its good vs evil, Mickey and the Villians, but its a water show, projection on water, fire, and a parade sorta, she was thinking it was like the "boring Fantasia DVD " (we love that dvd btw! even dd8)

I convinced her to watch the Travel Channel special on Disney (thanks Disers for the heads up!) and now, she does want to see it!! :wizard:

My DH and I saw it the first time before we had kids and loved it -

I never go to Disney in peak season so I can't speak to the crowds during that time -

but during off peak times - which I think May is - I have never had a problem getting in -

you can call and get a PS for a Fantasmic Dinner Package and they give you seats in a reserved section - I think of this as my way to wait in line and eat at the same time!!!

I know people are going to be shocked and I might be banned for what I am about to say - I do not like Illuminations :faint: I think Fantasmic is a million times better!!!!

I couldn't agree more.........I am not an Illuminations fan - I never really have been........but Fantasmic is awesome :jumping1: We do go over to Boardwalk during our stay and watch the fireworks from the bridge behind France but the actual show does not excite me. Sorry all you Epcot lovers :guilty:

my wife and i have been 5 times as a couple and LOVE it!!!!! now we are both the kind who really go their excited about it and look for that disney experience but it has never failed to make me feel wonderful. i am a fan of all of the fireworks and shows but i still think fantasmic is the most incredible event i have ever seen. if you will watch with the eyes of a kid you will know what i mean.
the dinner package is a great way to do it. you are seated on the right side of the amphitheater and you only have to arrive about 30 minutes early. there are really no bad seats.
we are planning another trip in june and cant wait to see it again with our little 1 1/2 yr old.

have a fantasmic trip!

Or is it more for families and kids? It looks cool in the preview...

Definitely go and see it! We've seen it 4 times and I would still see it again. If it's just 2 of you I suggest the Fantasmic Dinner Package at The Brown Derby. It would be such a special treat!
