Do you recognize my screen name?

When you see one of my posts, do you ''know'' me? I mean, do you think oh, that's poohandwendy, I have read her stuff before. Or if someone mentioned my name, would you be like "Oh, I know who you mean"?

Reading through threads this morning, some posts I thought "Do I ''know'' that poster?" Some screen names are so similar to others, I am unsure if I know them or if they are someone I have never (or not very often) read a post from before.

With some posters, you read enough of their posts that you kinda get a feel for their personality. Some names are just recognizable to me, some avatars, pictures, signatures are what I recognize. But there are so many of us, that it's hard to keep people straight when they have very similar names as others here. Anyone know what I mean?

LOL, I wasn't intending to make this about me, in particular...just wondering how many scratch their heads like I do sometimes...I know some people, like Dan Murphy for example, just seem to know everyone, he must have a photographic memory

I usually associate people with pictures. I guess that is bad since pictures can change. I am just bad with remembering real names. Screen names are easy to remember. I do recognize yours.

I always figure people know me by my kitty avatar waving and the fact that I haven't changed my flag clipart in over 3 years!!!

I recognize people by their screen and signatures. Some people confuse me though. Like all of the Poohbear's and the people who start with 'M'. I have to open their posts and see their sigs. to remember who is who.

LK4- I always recognize you because of Cranberry PA, (hi neighbor, I love your neck of the woods, btw!!) and I always laugh at the (twp=township) thing...are we the only ones who use that?

That's funny, I get more comments from that signature...camcolt, your name reminds me of a childhood friend who had horses...(her name was Cameron)

(background for those wondering: the signature comes from a slew of really heated debates back that went on in a relatively short time back the old debate board, for those who participated...thanks for the laughs)

sometimes I recognize the names..I usually know enough that there are some posters who's threads I DO NOT want to open..lol!...some are more familiar than others..but then that's probably cause they post more than others!

Nope, Boo'sMom is Stephanie - one of the riddle mistresses here on the CB. (They prefer to call themselves "Riddle Goddesses", so we just let them live in their own little world on that one....)

I always recognize you (wherever you are LOL) I like your siggie but I usually recognize you from your name. That is the way I *try* to recognize people. If I don't pay much attenion and see the avator only, I'll read through the post thinking it is a certain poster that has used that avator for a long time and when I read the post, sometimes I think "that doesn't sound like so&so!" I scroll back up and *surprise*, it isn't them! LOL I do get names confused--all the Tinks, Poohs and Moms confuse me too easily!
I love reading your posts though. I love your thoughts ofd reason and your way of putting your thoughts into words. I think you are very logical and have a lot of common sense. Personally, I rarely see such wise thoughts put into words on the CB. That's not to offend anyone but I do think you are *good*. LOL If I see you have posted to a thread, I always read it because 9x out of 10 I agree or see your point which may be one I haven't thought of.

Sorry for the rambling. LOL You asked if I *knew* you and I rambled on about why. LOL I guess it was just an opportunity to tell you that I enjoy your thoughts and posts.

I recognize the ones who always seem to post to the same threads I do...mutual interests, I think. I know all the debaters by screen name. Some of the other CBers I know by tags. It's funny, but I even see shortened versions of screen names on some of the more familiar to me, like the OP. When I see your name, I say "oh, it's PAW" in my head.

I do admit I get some of the "moms" mixed up and have to think about it sometimes.
