Do You REALLY need Watershoes/Crocs at Blizzard Beach?

My feet did start hurting after a bit. My husband really had a problem and his feet got pretty torn up. He said he would definitely get water shoes next time.

2 words : Plantar warts!

Not only was in painful but when i came back from vacation, i had a few expensive and painful appointments at the foot doctor to get rid of it!

And, as other people mentionned, the pavement gets expremely hot! Last year, after our Blizzard Beach day and before realizing i had warts, we went to a souvenir shop on international drive to get water shoes for our Typhoon Lagoon day later on that week.

depends on when you go... like when i went in Feb i didnt need shoes nor did i have any.. if you are going in april as long as the temp is in the mid 80's youll be fine if it starts going into the mid 90s youll want shoes

I agree with this. I think it depends on when you go. I never needed them in October -- but sounds like they're a necessity in the summer!

I would take them as a precaution. The last time we did a Disney waterpark it was overcast and about 80 degrees, so the sidewalks didn't get too hot. But I would rather be safe than sorry! You just never know.

None of us have every used water shoes....non issue.
But, we almost always goto T.L. Maybe there is less walking there...

I don't like walking inside a public bathroom without shoes on.

I recommend the water shoes - they are cheap at walmart. Just make sure they are snug fitting (so you don't lose them on rides), and even better is the kind with the band across the top.

Echoing others: yeah they're good for hot days.

They're also good to help against that stray rock or pebble you will likely end up stepping on.
