Do you really need the AP card anymore if you have Magic Bands?

We have our DVC AP vouchers and the AP's are already linked to our MB. Do we need to stop at guest services and get the hard card? I can get into the parks and then go to guest services at my leisure at some point during my trip, correct?

Thanks

You have to show the AP card for discounts, as well as a photo ID. This also includes any DVC discount...card is required.

I would definitely bring your AP card with you especially the first day you enter the parks. The last time I went I had a problem with the magic bands and it didn't let me into the parks. Luckily, I had the AP passes with me so it wasn't a problem. I just went back to the front desk and they reset my magic band.

You need to have your AP card with at all times. My example:
Obtained renewal of AP this past Sept.
Used with MBs in Nov and Dec during stays.
Went in Jan, MB would let DW into all the parks but myself none of the parks would take my MB so I had to supply the card for proof of entry.

My mom had this happen to her most of last year... surprisingly it worked fine in Jan. It either doesn't scan or the fingerprint doesn't match. So she had to carry her AP + ID with her everytime.
