Sometimes my all time favorite flavor from childhood was chocolate with peanutbutter. I used to get it at an ice cream store called High's that no longer exists. Later Baskin Robins had the same flavor and whenever I came across a Baskin Robins I had to have some. I can't find this ice cream anywhere now. I try to add peanut butter to chocolate but it's just not the same and I don't like the ice cream with the the pieces of peanut butter cups it's not the same.
We have a High's ice cream store in my town! All the ice cream is sold pre-packaged, though, not by the cone/scoop.
I love p'nut butter-chocolate ice cream, and have "made" some at home by melting the pb in the microwave for a few seconds and pouring it on. Vanilla ice cream also works for this. You can probably even do it with strawberry - it would be like a pb&j, no?
I don't put peanut butter on my icecream, but it sounds good. I remember years ago I had a peanut butter flavored icecream. I'm not sure if it's still made though.
We put peanutbutter on ice cream. Our local Max & Erma's used to have warm peanutbutter on their sundae bar and my kids wanted to do this at home too. We scoop some pb into a small container, put it into the microwave for 30-45 seconds until it is liquidy and pour it over the ice cream -- YUM!!
mmm peanut butter!! Yummmm!!..When i was young my aunt made lots of cakes as a hobby and with the left over icing we would mix it with peanut butter...sooooo good!!!
Wow! I did not think that I would get this many replies. I think this is the most replies I have gotten that did not lead to a debate. lol PB on vanilla ice cream.. yumm
Yum!!!! I don't even bother with the ones that are made as toppings. Just take PB and nuke it for 20-30 seconds and pour it over. One of the best things out there!!!!
we have a fairly new Friendly's near my house and once a week i buy a 5 scoop (all 'nuts over caramel' flavor) sundae with double peanut butter sauce and almonds on top. somehow i am able to eat a little every night for about 3 nights. it's awesome!!
baskin robbins also has a terrific chocolate/peanut butter flavor ice cream. YUMMMMMMMY!
I don't but it sounds like a plan I loved the chocolate and peanut butter cheesecake I had at The Cheesecake Factory in Orlando so I imagine ice-cream would work with it too.
