Do you put ID bracelet on child at parks?

We used these at age 4 and up on wrist. (I've heard some people use them on ankle)

Fairly inexpensive even with shipping.

We put Mom & Dad's cell phone number on them.

I use this as well, I bought them for the trips a little over a year ago for DD6 and I use them for more now. She is in Kindergarten and I have her wear it each field trip day, even when they went to the police station. We thankfully have never needed to rely on it, but it makes me more at ease.

This is what we use too. I've used them as young as 17 months (on the ankle, just in case) and I'll probably use them until my kiddos are teens. I know, probably a little too long, but they don't mind wearing them at all, and it makes me feel much better.

Also, they have colors you can choose from. My ds gets the navy blue ones, and my dd the pink, but there are many other colors as well.

We did these, too, and they've come in handy since. We've used them when the kids were with people other than us, so our cell numbers were easily accessed! Just mom and cell number, and Dad and cell number:thumbsup2

I don't have any reccomendations, my kids are older but I do have a story. We were just there and saw a little boy (cute as a button) with "If you find me call my Dad at xxx-xxx-xxxx" written in sharpie on his arm. I really had to laugh. I guess the basics work too.

reminderband.com I just ordered 2 more yesterday and they have free shipping right now:banana: They are the Jelly type bracelet and they come in a child's size. You can pick your color and what you want written on them. We put child's name and our cell numbers. They are water proof and small enough that they don't easily slip off. My oldest son thinks his is so cool that he is STILL wearing it from our last trip (nov 08):lmao: We let him pick out the camo one and he loves it. I hope to never need them, but they provide good peace of mind.

All 3 of mine have glow in the dark silicone bracelets from reminderband.com. On them we wrote "To contact mom or dad" and on the other side it has dh's cell number a little heart separating our numbers and then my cell number.

We picked them up primarily for Disney but they have used them for field trips at school and when they have done day camps. They have the info memorized inside and out, but you never know how they would react in a panic situation so it's nice not to stress over them being able to contact us IF the need ever arose.

We used the Vital ID bracelet shown on the link below. DS4 wore it in the parks, it had our cell phone numbers and info about his allergy to eggs. We also coached him to identify park personnel if we became separated.

We used these as well. It's nice in that they can be reused over and over anywhere you go and you can change up the information when it changes.

for those who got the glow in the dark bracelet: what color did you fill it with and was it hard to read esp. at night? I think that would be good, then you could keep a little extra track of them at night

Our son wears a little stitch character backpack into the parks so I took one of the Disney luggage tags and added in my own slip of paper that says: My name is Alex if I am lost please call this number.

DH works at a hospital so we use hospital bracelets-we just fill our our own info on the strip of paper, insert into the bracelet, and put it on the kids. They won't come off without scissors and are also waterproof. Also, if you or someone you know works for a hospital, they are free!

If you do, what do you use? Looking for ideas. thanks
As for me if were going out with child,we put some dog tags or you can put a piece of paper inside his/her pocket which written the name, address and contact number of the family head.

I used a gold fill on ours because I wanted it to be somewhat inconspicuous during the day and in photos ;). The gold shows up great against the glow though, the only color that might be difficult to read would be white fill. At night the bracelets glow green and the text is easy to read and looks black.

We used these double-sided dog tags from ArtsCow. We put a family photo on one side so there would be no mistaking who his family was and I used a simple photo editing program to make a pdf document I could upload to their site that simply said If lost please call: XXX-XXX-XXXX. It was easy and cheap (They ocasionally go on sale for $1.99-free shipping.)

We still use them when we go into the city.

we use the tattoos from safetytat.com
They DO NOT have her name or mine on them. Just "If lost please call xxx-xxx-xxxx"
We use them at WDW, Hershey Park, Ocean City, etc. As soon as the baby starts walking she'll wear one too :)
In addition to the tats we review the "if you get lost" procedures (find a police officer/WDW employee or a mommy/daddy with a stroller and kids) and I take a picture of what she's wearing on my cell that morning

I print out a sheet of address labels for the kids with this info: If I am lost, please call...
mom xxx-xxx-xxxx, dad xxx-xxx-xxxx.
Then each day I would stick one to the back of each child's shirt before we left the hotel.
This works great for three reasons.
1. In plain sight if the child does get seperated from you
2. The kids won't peel it off b/c it's on the back of their shirt
3. It doesn't show up in pictures b/c it's on back of shirt
