I used to play the trumpet and believe it or not the Barritone and the TUBA  in Marching band no less!

How about you?

I played the French Horn in high school. I actually just joined a local college band to try to get myself to play again. It has been ten years, I don't know how that going to work!! But I decided I needed a hobby....

I played clarinet since 5th grade. When I was in jr. high I also picked up flute and as a high school student I played a little sax. I really liked woodwinds! ;)

Flute/picc (Flute performance was my major in College for awhile)
Oboe/English Horn
I've played Soprano/Alto/Tenor Sax in jazz bands
I learned how to play the Bassoon, but couldn't do it now.

I sure wish I still was involved in music. It'd be nice to do something you like for a change.

I used to play Marimba and Xylophone in our high school band. We actually had the mallet instruments mounted on carts to wheel out and set up at the edge of the field during marching performances.

Well I just started learining how to play the Guitar( just before Christmas of 2005). I have always wanted to learn how to play the Guitar, so this year I said I would buy myself a Guitar and learn!

Piano for the past 20 years or so. I play at church part-time. Always wished I could play brass, but I transferred to public school too late to join band. :(

My husband is a guitar NUT! He can play bass and drums, too.

Nope but DD12 plays FIVE fluently. She scored all of the musical ability in this family. :)

I play the clarinet, and played the tenor sax in high school for marching band.

I joined a Community Band three years ago and I love it! We start rehearsals again next week. :goodvibes My DS 12 plays French Horn and he joined the Community Band last year. I love having the opportunity to play in the band with him. Hopefully my DD 10 will be able to join next year.

I played the flute when I was in school. I play the piano and organ now.

I didn't but my DS1 played clarinet. DS2 played tenor sax, soprano sax, oboe, piano and in the percussion pit in marching band.
*I* am a HUGE Drum Corp fan and you will see me cheering on The Cadets this year in San Antonio, Murfreesboro, TN and finals in Madison, Wisconsin!!!

I played clarinet, sax (alto), baritone, flute and guitar. Loved that marching band in HS! Yes, it's true.... I was a band geek.

Our small high school was VERY big into music. We had an awesome teacher....with TONS of awards for MANY MANY MANY YEARS.

Played clarinet from 7th grade to 12th grade.
Added the alto sax from 10th grade to 12th grade.
Added oboe for 11th & 12th grades.

Was in marching band, stage (jazz) band & concert band.

Also gave private lessons to 6 elementary students while I was in 12th grade. It was a program our high school had where we taught elementary students.

Getting on the school bus carrying 3 instrument cases & books was FUN my last 2 yrs of school. LOL

Can you say BAND GEEK??!!!!! Central district. All state.

I even won a scholorship to summer music camp held at Univ of RI. While there, I had to learn another instrument, so I decided on the guitar.

And we had a 2 keyboard organ at home that I dabbled on.

Played piano from K-5th grade with lessons (still play a little bit).
Played clarinet 5th-12th grade, with marching band all 4 HS years.
Played violin for about 6 months in HS. Hope to restart that.
My DS (Sam) played piano for about 1 year.
My DS (Amy) also played piano for about 1 year.
My DS (Steph) played piano for 2 years, and played flute 5th-11th grade.
My DB (Dennis) plays Alto and Tennor Sax (??) 6th-9th, and plays guitar.
My DS (Danielle) plays the clarinet 4th-6th grade.
My DB (Peter) just started piano (3rd grade)
And DB (Vinnie) hasn't started anything yet (let's go brass! :teeth: ).

I played the trumpet. DH played the trombone. In fact, that is how we met--in junior high band.
