Do you plan for the next trip before you leave for the current one? :)

My in-laws' 40th wedding anniversary is in 2009 and they have expressed an interest of going to WDW with us then (along with DW's brother's family), after seeing how much we enjoy the place.

Today, DW was on the phone with her mom going on about what we are planning to do on this upcoming WDW trip. MIL commented when are we going to start talking about the 2009 trip. DW told me this after dinner tonight.

Four hours later, here I am, 11:30 at night, alone in the family room, typing away in a brand new spreadsheet labeled "WDW 2009".

DW, DD8, DD4 and I are within 7 days of leaving for WDW 2007.

Am I crazy planning the next WDW trip before we even have left for the current one? :)

No, you are not crazy. If you were you would have to call me crazy too.

Our next trip is November 2007, we are already half way planning December 2008. If you are already planning one trip, it is not much more work to add another in the mix :rotfl:.

I hope you and your family have a fantastic time!!

I agree, I dont think u are crazy, I think its only natural.... :lmao: I am always thinking of the next time we can go!!! :lmao:

I like to at least have some idea of when I'm going back next so it's not so sad when I have to come home. Our next trip is August 2008 and before we leave on that trip, I will have to know when I'm going back again.

All I can say is that, if you are, I am, too! :)

After all, I have trips planned for:
September 30-October 6
December 30-January 5
August 13-September 6

And that August-Sep, 2008 trip consists in three parts: 4 days at the Grand Californian, the Panama Canal Repositioning Cruise, the 5 day Bahamian Cruise.

All booked, planning in progress, no craziness here -- I hope! :)

I always give DH heck every time we are actually on our trip - just there in July, and he was always making comments - "next trip we should try this, or how much is it to stay there....":rolleyes1 I told him to try and enjoy the trip while we're on it (like that's hard!), and we can plan the next one on the plane ride home!:rotfl2:
Needless to say, we leave in 27 days, and are already trying to see when our next trip will be after that!

DH thinks I am insane since we haven't even gone on our first Disney trip yet and I already have two more in the works, LOL!

I have always loved all things Disney, but have never gotten a chance to go to the World until now.

 You can add me to the list of crazies! I always plan my next trip as soon as I return - sometimes even before. I just booked a December weekend trip and we haven't even gone on our October trip yet. :rolleyes1 I have to have something to look forward to! :)

We are going in Feb. 08, and i am already cooking up a trip for DH's 38 th b-day in Dec. of 08.
Need something out of the ordinary to look forward to.. so I plan and save!

No way, planning is a big part of the fun:goodvibes sort of like the build up to christmas morning:banana: we go in Feb. 2008 and all the planning is done, we are now starting to plan a 20th anniversary trip in Fall 2008.

It's just a hunch but....I think you're asking the wrong folks here. In answer to your question...NO. I don't think you're crazy. When we return in Oct. I'm gonna have to figure out if we're going to WDW (like I've planned) or USF in '09. (We're skipping '08. See siggy for why.;) )

Nope, not crazy at all. I live for planning my next vacation. This coming year we're doing Aruba or another island in the Spring, and next summer we're going to Disneyland (we're attending a wedding in Beverly Hills, so I want to make a vacation out of it). Some people think it's crazy to go on vacation all the time - me, I think it's crazy to get paid vacation from work and not take advantage of it!

Nope. Sane as sane can be. :goodvibes I always have to have at least 2 trips in the works. Makes coming home so much easier. Besides the planning lasts lots longer than the vacation . . . :rotfl2:

We have a trip planned for December 2007 and on Monday I call for resverations for our trip in Aug 2008. I have everything planned for December I need to start all over for next year and next years trip includes kids that have never been to WDW before. Now that is going to be a fun trip to plan.

Besides it helps us fuel our other addiction that is the DIS boards!

My DW told me the same thing. She basically said "what did you expect from DIS? It's like standing in the middle of a mental asylum and yelling out 'AM I CRAZY?'"

Oh well, DIS is my support group ....

I like to know I've got more trips scheduled but just recently I realized I've been getting a bit annoyed planning out the nitty-gritty details of my Jan trip when I haven't even gone on the Oct one yet. I want to think about October and nothing else! Once that's over, we'll start picking ADRs and stuff for Jan. For now I just don't care, lol. I guess I'm all about the instant(ish) gratification? :) Also my mom is already asking questions about dates for Oct 08 and I don't want to think about it either. Plus, dh and I were talking about going in May and our 11 month and 7 month windows passed us by and we didn't even blink, hehe. I'm sure in May we'll wish we were going but atm I don't see us getting our act together and planning it!

I wish I was a good planner like you guys!!! :D

I don't think you are crazy at all! Planning a future trip before going on my current trip is what keeps me sane! :goodvibes

Actually, I had my Dec 07 trip planned long before my trip for this weekend. I usually have several trips I'm working on but if a great rate pops up or something special's going on I'll jump on it last minute.
