Do you pay off package a little at a time or all at once?

Just curious, especially those that have the Disney Visa. I am thinking I should just pay a little at a time, but if I pay all at once at around my 45 day mark, then my balance will be interest free for six months and I can pay off most of it with a tax refund instead. Anyone else consider doing this? We don't have to pay until the end of September.

Also, do you all pay online for your package? I look at my ressie online and see I can pay down my balance, but I am a little afraid of the website being wrong. I also hate to call Disney because I have trouble hearing and I always seem to get someone with a strong accent and have to keep asking them to repeat! It's embarassing!

Thanks

I usually pay it in several chunks. This year for example I did 700, 700, 480, 120, 1000, 500, 540 for my 4040 balance. I like to spread it out, and as a Canadian I don't have the option of the Disney Visa so I use my Scene Visa which earns me points for free movies etc.

I always have the best of intentions about paying it off a little at a time, but then seem to end up paying most, if not all, of the balance at my 45 day mark.

I've paid my balance online in the past though and never had a problem. I just print out the page showing a zero balance and take that with me.

By the way, I've been trying for two days to make a payment online, but the WDW site won't let me. It keeps saynig that option is temporarily unavailable. Is anyone else having a problem with the WDW site?

I pay mine at the 45-day mark, or close to it. I like to keep my money as long as possible. This year I paid it with $1200 worth of points from my Disney Visa card  and charged the rest to my Disney Visa card, which has free financing for 6-months on Disney trips. :) As I said, I like to keep my money as long as possible. ::yes::

we pay it off ahead of time, generally two large "chunks", way before we arrive

I've been going so much this year....I am stretched thin......

I paid off my Jan trip in 4 months....

My aug trip will take that long to pay of as well....

Hey I get 6 months 0%.....as long as I continue to pay
zero interest.......I'm a happy girl.

I generally pay it in several large chunks. It just depends on how far out I am able to book. Longer time=more payments. It doesn't seem to hurt the bank account as much that way.

Our first couple of trips we paid it all at once when booking. This time i've been paying payments on the website.

I've had no problems making payments. I just made 2 different ones the past week online.

I rarely do credit and as such, could never afford to make a big payment at all once, so I pay it in chunks. I just set that money aside every month and know that it will be going directly to Disney. :)

We do payments as well but now we just got our Disney Visa Card I will be putting the small balance on it at the end of the month and everything will be paid for. :woohoo: :woohoo: :dance3:

I usually pay it all at once right around the 60 day mark or so, but this past year I paid it at the end of January (even though we aren't going until August) just to get it it out of the way.

I booked our June, 2007 WDW vacation package on August 15, 2006. I made the initial $200.00 deposit on August 15, 2006 via telephone. After that, every payment I made was online.

Disney doesn't care how often you pay so long as you pay at least a $20.00 minimum. I am a seller on e-bay and every time I received a payment of at least $20.00 I paid on my vacation. I made over 40 online payments and never had a problem. It was like having my vacation on layaway!

I also have some money from my reward card that I want to apply to my vacation. How did you do that? I obviously have to do it before my 45 day mark, so I need to get my reward card and then do I just call it in? Is it like using a credit card. Can you use your points online to pay? Thanks

As soon as I get a chunk of money I pay my Disney Visa online before the 6 months is left otherwise I will spend it on groceries and stuff for the trip. I am trying to be good and get it paid off before we go.

I just paid mine off today, via the internet and it worked just fine. it says my balance is zero anyway. I was going to try to make payments but it just didn't work that way, so I took a chunk out of the checking acct. ouch, but I can't wait to be there!!!:woohoo:

Can you make payments like that to AAA too? I have just always paid the initial deposit and then paid it off about 60 days before the 45 days. This time I think that I'll just pay most of it off in February when we get our taxes.

I use my Disney Visa and pay it off close to the 45 day mark.
My balance was this Sunday and I just paid of today.
3 days early and all paid for-- Yea!

I put the $200 deposit down, of course, then when I have the balance saved, I call WDW and charge the balance to the Disney Visa, then write the check to the cc.
