Do you pay current year Annual Dues on Dec UY?

I am thinking of doing the AKL add-on special. If the UY is Dec and I get points on Dec, will I have to pay 2008 annual dues or will I only be pay beginning on calendar year 2009? I know they state that dues are pushed back until May 2009 as part of the special, but I did not know if that means both 2009 and 2008 must be paid. thanks.

Your dues will be pro-rated based on the later of: your purchase date, your initial Use Year and the occupancy date of the AKV Unit you purchase.

Example: You purchase today (8/20/08), your initial UY is Dec 08, your occupancy date is May 1, 2009. In this case, your dues are pro-rated from May 1, 2009. You will not owe any dues for 2008. You will owe approximately 7 months worth of dues for 2009 (they actually calculate it based on the number of days left in the year, not months) and they will begin billing some time after May 1st next year.
