Do you pay attention to who's posting?

Often, and unless someone has a memorable signature, I don't notice who's posted what. I generally respond without regard to who's posted something, as well.

I'm beginning to think I'm in the minority and need to pay more attention, since I can never figure out little DIS mysteries and more often than not, someone will remember a post of mine from months ago that I barely remember posting. ;)

So how about, do you pay attention to who's posting or just the content of the post?

I only post to something if I have something to say..which is normally always, so I kinda post to anything... if it sounds interesting i'm posting.. :dog2:

I do pay attention to the WHO because sometimes folks with low post counts may be posting just to stir things up...the ones people call "trolls" and I've seen a few around here.

It's difficult for me to take a poster seriously if they are discussing something serious and they've only had 10 posts.

I notice the poster. It's how I learn about the others here. :)

I notice some posters...mostly I recognize the avatars or sigs. Sometimes I will read something that makes me laugh or makes me furious - then I check the ID and go "oh well that figures - them again!".

I actually had one person on my ignore list for the sole reason that I hated looking at their signature pic. (It wasn't a personal picture, family picture or animal picture, just an ugly picture!)

I am on the DIS so much I can't help but notice the posters. As for remembering what someone says, it is usually something that is extreme or that is either exactly in line with what I think or exactly opposite what I think that I tend to remember most.

I recognize a lot of the avatars and sigs too, if someone changes them it throws me off.

I'm guilty of usually just noting the content and not the poster.
If someone says just about what I would have posted or something I consider totally outlandish, I look at the name. Otherwise I don't. It's funny but the same posters tend to fall into the same categories.

I usually watch the topics, especially the long ones, but then I usually notice it is the same two people having at each other, and then I drop it. Anybody who quotes FOX exclusively as a source is usually a lost cause as well, well intentioned maybe but not usually worth arguing with.
Newbies ask a lot of interesting questions about park things and I try to answer them, but many others beat me to it. Face it, we all know the same stuff.

I usually read all the posts before I post and look at the name to see if it sounds familiar.

I notice posters at times. For example, if someone posts a reply to one of my threads and their reply is really nice or very imformative, I may notice that poster more often. Some times I read certain posters that I know post interesting threads or have a really good sense of humor. I remember CharlieNJ was/is such a good writer. I would never miss reading one of his posts.

who are you again ?? what was the question ?? sorry just posting to see myself post. :dog2:

I read almost every thread, I just post on a few though, but I do look to see who posted as I am reading. I do it with all the posts I read, not just the op.

Was it that creepy looking cat person picture?! Man, that gave me the willies!!

I dont read all the threads, but I pay attention to who says what

I tend to look at where they're from, rather than who it is. I'm just nosy if ther's anyone else in my neck of the world on here.
