We always pack at least ponchos. Tried the umbrella route once. Just too many chances of poking someone's eye out, and carrying one cuts the number of hands you have available for taking pictures and other things. Now, that's for most cruises. We are expecting rain on our Sept 14th Dream cruise. Not sure what to pack. Umbrellas? Rain boots? Rain jackets? Ponchos? It's gonna be super hot all week...so I'm trying to pack accurately. Thanks.

I've been following the weather in the Bahamas. We leave Saturday, my hubby works until Friday and my son has a soccer game Saturday am he doesn't wanna miss. I think I'm gonna grab a couple of ponchos from target. Just in case.I'm on the SAME cruise LOL
We are expecting rain???!!!!!
Yikes! I was not aware. Are you looking at Bahamas weather? Where should I be looking.
When are you leaving? I am leaving on Thursday and cannot stand myself any longer LOL Leaving my family at home and going with my mom! Listening to Disney music at my desk right now!
Thanks!

When I was in Nassau last year that was the case. The sand on the beach dries out pretty quickly. We were a bit concerned as the little one had a broken arm but we basically wrapped her half-cast in a towel and poncho and asked the towel cabana attendants (had a day pass at the Colonial Hilton Nassau) if she could hide there for the 5-10 minutes the rain was going. Didn't rain the rest of the time there. Also on this cruise... I'm seeing high 87-90 deg and 40-50% chance of afternoon scattered thunderstorms for Nassau and Castaway Cay. I'm assuming this is the same kind of deal as for WDW when you get that afternoon thunderstorm that lasts maybe 20-30 minutes? not a complete washout of an afternoon?
