Do you pack Beach Towels?

I am leaving for my first Disney Cruise on Sunday and I can't find the answer to that question.

Do you bring your own Beach towels or are there ones to use on the ship and at the different ports.

They take up so much room to pack. I would rather not pack them if they already have some to use.

No need to pack beach towels. There are plenty on the ship and you can take them with you to the beach at the ports. There are bins to return them as you walk back onto the ship. Have a great cruise!

They definately have them to use by the pools and at CC....some report they have them all the time outside the ship in every port, but I have not found that to be true on my 13 DCL cruises....

If you are on a DCL sponsored shore excursion they will provide towels at your meeting place onboard.

If you leave the ship on your own you can take some from the pool area but make sure you bring them back.

DCL's towels are very small....I like to have a full size beach towel so I either pack my own or buy one in the shop onboard as a souviner.

No need to pack your own IMHO. They are plentiful and they do not mind you taking them onshore. They just remind you to return them. I agree with you- towels take up too much room!! I did buy a DCL beach towel at Castaway Cay. Now my kids are trying to take it every chance they get. My response- another good reason to cruise DCL again. We need more towels from Castaway Cay!!

I too am going to buy them on the ship or at Castaway Cay. This past weekend we were at a swim meet and a swimmer on one of the other teams had brought their DCL towel.

I like to get towels as rememberances because we use them a lot on our boat and it reminds me of the cool places we have been to.

Everyone always said that the DCL towels are really small but I didn't find that to be case. I thought they were a decent enough size.

If you are taking a DCL excursion they will have towels available for you at your meeting location.

When we met in the BV theater for our excusion to Xcaret I grabbed towels on the way in. While we were waiting, one of the CMs mentioned that it was over 90 degrees on the mainland. I put the towels back on the pile on the way out. It wasn't worth the trouble of carrying them when we would be dry in 5 minutes in that heat (and we were).

We bring them so we have them for our excursions, but since we drive to the Port, we aren't concerned about the space they take up in our luggage. I also throw them on the chairs when sitting on the verandah and take them to the pool when it's crowded to mark our chairs when we're in the pool.
