So, do you own your dream home?
We don't, currently, but we both have dreamed of living in a log cabin since we were kids. In looking at houses in the area that we hope to move to sometime very soon, we found our dream home. We are not ready to move yet, but it's the perfect house in so many ways. Before the housing market crashed, it was listed at over $500,000, which we could never afford. However, it's now below $175,000 and we think we can actually talk them down a bit more because it is a bank owned home and even if they won't budge on the price, it's still within our ability to afford, but if we can save a little more, so be it.
My fiance has some family obligations that would make being closer to them so much easier than what we are going through now. It stinks only seeing each other for 5 to 10 days out of the month. This would be the ideal home for us to raise a family and I am positively giddy at the thought of us both having our dream home. I am going to need a new job, hopefully with the same company that my fiance works for because I am very familiar with the software and in working for them, we both could work from home. Of course we need to either sell our current home or maybe even rent it out. I have no idea how renting it out is going to work being a state away, but I guess if this is meant to be, that it will all work itself out.
