Huh.......I live next to mexico....I don't even own those thick plastic warmers( they use in resturants) to keep them warm on our patio parties. Here in Yuma they come out in alummin foil at sit down resturants.

have not seen one a garage sale, but everyone steals the plastic warming bowl.. anyhow, we buy our ice down the street, comes home in 20 pound bags, still unfrozen we create five smaller bags of ice and the freeze each one individually. Frozen, they indeed need crushing, so we us a small wood handle upholstery hammer to beat on the bag, crushing the ice and pouring into tupperware mixing bowl from the 70s, then pour into our lined up drink containers on kitchen counter. good exercise for senior citizens.

16 years old....a true geek.....girl transfer into high school, all the guys fawn over her, I liked her kid sister, she sat across from me. but geeky me didn't have the know all. found a negative of the older sister in school photo lab, so enlarged it and made a dart board. Dart board girl went on to be a model for Meier frank store chain in pacific northwest....I put a good jinx on her!!! I got honorable mention for entering that story....everyone thought it was great fiction...if only they knew.

that works...some scholarships have public recognition and the organization will hand out a plaque...still a memento of hard work.
