Please let me know how you like it.

I found it on amazon for $87 but then there are $50 in rebates so I'm thinking about getting it.

I posted in another thread about Paint Shop and Photo Elements.

At first I put Photo Shop by accident when I meant Paint Shop so now I need to know about Paint Shop experiences.

I use Paint Shop Pro X and love it, before purchasing I looked for reviews online and found a lot of reviews by professionals, they all pretty much stated the same thing. PAint shop pro x will basically do everything that photo shop will do at a fraction of the cost,

photo shop has been the industry standard for years, because it is advanced as far as the grahics/printing end of the software,

for the average/pro photographer, paint shop pro will do just fine

adobe has also done a much better job over the years of placing photo shop in stores and getting trial versions bundled on new pcs...

there are plugins available for paint shop pro, some can be found online for free others can be founds on ebay,

their are thousands of frames and tubes available for free online, just takes a little time searching...

PSP X has some great new tools such as brush on suntan

one click blemish and wrinkle remover, shooting a lot of teens, I find the blemish remover saves a lot of time when editing

there is also a one click teeth whitener tool that is incredible...

online tutorials might not be as plentiful for PSP X but they are out there, plus the full version comes with tutorial videos...

from what I've read PSP X gives you more bang for your buck than elements does, but it all depends on how advanced a program you want or how simplified you want it to be

I have it and my DD has it. she took an old damaged picture of my deceased father and scanned it and cleaned it up and it looked perfect. I was amazed.

I have this program also, and I love it! I just got it a couple of months ago, and I have a little more learning to do. (I haven't had much time lately.) But I have already used it for basic editing, as well as selective coloring. And I have used the makeover tools (blemish remover and teeth whitener), and they are great! I am very much looking forward to playing around with it more after my sister-in-law's wedding later this month and our Disney trip in May.

I have been using it since 7 and so I now have 7, 8, 9 & now X and I love it. I use it for both photos and graphics. I have just bought Elements 4 and I am enjoying using that but I still use psp X.

Thanks everyone. I decided to order it today since there are 2 rebates with it. Can't go wrong with only paying $37. Even if something comes out later that I like, it's not a big loss. I really like the trial version but there is just so much to learn.

What for books do you recommend that have been a BIG help?

I see that you have already made your decision but I have PSP 7 and am learning to use it and really like what I have learned about it so far.

Google PSP tutorials and you will find a wealth of info

Hope this helps

Dave

Thanks...I'll be checking into the tutorials.

If anyone has a specific website that has been very helpful and easy to follow, please post it. Anything would be helpful while learning. There are just so many gadgets.
