Do you own a pool table?

My step-dad gave us his when we bought this house. DH and the boys love it. They use it a lot. I play about once a month.

We had one for 10 years but just sold it in January. My husband just had to have one and then he rarely used it except when we had a group of people over. I am so glad it is gone! We replaced it with a home gym and have used that more in 2 months than we did the pool table in 10 years.

Us too. We would love to get rid of it, but not sure how to go about it. Not an easy thing to move - obviously.

that is what we thought too, but it was actually pretty easy to take apart. A friend of my husband's bought ours, he and my husband and another friend took it apart and loaded it into the truck, only took about an hour. The friend didn't have any trouble getting it back together correctly once he got it home.

Yes, we've had one for about four years. It's a very nice one, quite expensive because my husband picked it out. I do have to say though, that it was worth the money. It's gotten a lot of use, especially when we have company over. The pool table is in a room in the basement. We've carpeted the room and put in a couch and a round, bar-type table with four high stools. We added a small fridge and tv. We also had a strip of four hanging lights installed above the pool table for better lighting.

I hope when we sell our house that the new owner wants a pool table, because I think we're going to leave it there. I can't imagine moving it; it's slate and heavy wood.

Don't have the room for one. Wish we did. DH and I both love to shoot pool.

I had one, but the water kept draining out of the six "pool filters" along the sides/corners. Even then, 3 inches of water didn't make the pool very useful for swimming.

Us too. We would love to get rid of it, but not sure how to go about it. Not an easy thing to move - obviously.

Call a local Billiards company. We will from time to time get calls to come take them down and put them on our showroom floor to sell used. It is easy for the person wanting to get rid of it because they do not have to touch it or sell it! and for us we can advertise that we sell used..... I would say 20% of our business (in that department) is from used table sales.
