Do you observe Halloween?

I get dragged out every year by my very excited son. I'm not a Halloween lover but I've always observed it....and passed out candy. These days, though.....I'm walking around with a whole group of excited kids!

And it's fun!

I love Halloween! We've always had to take our kids to other neighborhoods to trick or treat. The neighborhood we lived in in Dallas wasn't very great so we went to a friend's neighborhood in Mesquite to trick or treat. Then we moved to Rockwall and don't live in a neighborhood (too much property between houses) and had to take them elsewhere. For a couple of years we trick or treated in Forney where my sister-in-law lived. Since my parents moved to town, the kids have trick or treated in their neighborhood. This will be the first year I won't get to go trick or treating. My daughter is going to a party that night and they are going out there. And the high school band that my son is in is dressing up in costume to perform at their football game.

No kids in my house, so I just turn the lights off and pretend I’m not home. I put up some decorations inside, but none outside.

When me and my sibilings were little we went trick or treating but since i got into high school and join the marching band we usually had football games on halloween. then we got older and we stopped we don't even hand out candy because we are usually at a football game now that my brother is in the band.

We usually aren't home on Halloween we are out taking Megan trick or Treating. Our church has a retirement apartment building and everyone at church brings candy and they pass it out to the senior citizens that want to participate in handing out candy and the children can go over there and have a safe place to trick or treat. It is the highlight of the year for some of those ladies. You never have to worry about the weather either.

I do decorate the house more fallish than Halloween.

We love Halloween to pass out candy and go trick or treating. We have some people here in the neighborhood due to religious reasons feel that Halloween is a bad holiday that should not be observed. I think that is a shame. Their kids have to stay inside during the Trick or treating time.
