Do you need to do the dinner package for world of color on a weekend?

We can do that, but I'm not too excited about the dinner portion for our family with multiple food allergies. Still, we want to see the show, so should we just do it that way?

You can get a fastpass first thing Saturday morning!

WoC is just as busy today as tommorow and Saturday. There have only been a handful of days when it was not full.

You can get WoC show tickets buying a meal package or from the normal fast pass distribution at GRR. Buying meals only saves you about 5 minutes. Using the Picnics let you have the leisure of picking up your Show tickets when you want to eat.

No one ever "needs" to get a dinner package for WOC. It is especially a waste if you make your dining reservation too late in the day and you do not have enough time to queue 75 minutes in advance (minimum). Because if you come late to the queue you will have spent a lot of monye on a pretty good meal and a poor view of WOC.

If you want to do the dining res I recommend you make the res at least 2 hours and 45 minutes before the scheduled show time.

Yikes. I did make the reseravtion plenty early (5:30) but 75 minutes of wait time for a standing show?! I am having second thoughts. My daughters may have a hard time with that much just straight standing and waiting! That is sounding less and less magical by the moment....

People wait 60+ minutes all the time for good views of shows at Disney parks. The first Fantasmic show of the night requires 2+ hours. It is just about the same as at WDW.

Sorry. The show is popular. Disney could have done a better job with the viewing area but it is what it is.

If you want a shorter wait then get a blue FP and go to the fire hydrant. Or go to the second show which seems to now have walk-ins for the red section which requires very little wait.

we went last summer and bought the picnic meal. The cold fried chicken meal was gross and I didn't eat it, but paying the $16 was worth having a great viewing area for the show, which was amazing I might add. Yes, we had to wait with 3 kids 9, 11, & 14 but it wasn't too bad. I would definately book a meal at a restaurant and get special viewing that way instead of fastpass as there will be a long line and wait for that as well.

We only watched from our room in the Paradise Pier because my 3 year old son would never survive that kind of wait, although we waited to see Fantasmic with my now almost 18 year old daughter when she was 5 (I think it was really new - what year did it start?) and she was fine with the 3 hour wait, especially once the show started: she was mesmerized. Just depends on the child. My son wouldn't last an hour.
