Do you need room reservation number before signing contract?

We received our initial email which asks for basic info, such as names, credit card info, etc. It also asks for resort reservation info, we haven't booked our room yet, but plan on staying on property, we are waiting for AP rates to be announced. Is it possible to give this information when we book our room or do we have to book a room now?

You can indeed hold off on providing the info - just be sure to pass it along as soon as you book

According to my contract, you have to provide it no later than 90 days before the event or they can cancel your event Hope that helps

I was told by my consultant that I needed it before we could be assigned a coordinator.

I thought you coudl book then have your rate updated to the AP rate when they were released? I was under the impression that you needed your bookings all sorted when you sign your LOA but I could be wrong

What if you are staying DVC? We won't be able to book our DVC room (assuming we stay at our home resort BLT) until 11 months before the trip...

But I'm hoping to confirm the wedding date and arrangements at 12 months...

We booked our wedding accomodations 4 months before our wedding. Other than our room block coordinator we didn't provide it to anyone (we had a Wishes wedding on 11/2/12). I don't think there is a required minimum night stay for wishes weddings the same way there is for memories/escape weddings, since we have to guarantee how many nights our guests will use via the room block.

We are doing escape and my paperwork says I have until 90 days before the event to book. I have signed my LOA, my deposit was paid and I even just heard from my planner. Soon confused why they won't send you an LOA if they let me sign one that says TBD for resort stay.
